Report suggests the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will have bigger batteries than the S7 duo

        Anonymous, 31 Jan 2017There are 2 reasons why iPhones have the best gaming perfor... moreactually Apple's OS is less modular then Android, making it more stable and mre perfected for the internal components...iOS is actually a great OS, better battery saving then Android too...The main key is that they "ajust" their OS for the internal components and not otherwise...tha't's the main reason why iPhone's rearly lag...combine that with less then FHD screen and you have a really fast phone even though you have just 2/3GB of RAM+there, are no skins on top of the iOS, just using the carefully polished OS in combination with good internal components
        p.s. I own the One M8 and doesn't lag, however Android has still a lot to do in order to fill the shoes of iOS...personally would like to see a phone that has Sanpdragon 835, 6gb of RAM, 256gb internal storage in combination with iOS on top with QHD screen...have to admit that would be a beast

Android is used by literally tens, if not hundreds of thousands of different phone models, and it can never achieve the level of optimization Apple can by optimizing the operating system and developer tools in-house for just a handful of phones. The A10 Fusion chip would benchmark below the SD821 if it was put on an Android platform, and on Android the majority of graphics intensive games scale the resolution down from QHD to FHD automatically. Until you use a QHD device as a daily driver, you won't know how incredible it looks to have the text on your screen looking like it's written on paper, Apple is likely adding an amoled QHD panel to the next iPhone

              I would have preferred smaller screen with that bigger battery. 5.7" is too big..

                See?? The 3000mAh for the normal version and 3500mAh for the Plus was a false leak, it's either completely false and made up, or the specs were from a testbed for the display or some other prototype. Now waiting for a real leak that confirms that the 4GB leak was false too, because last year a Samsung midrange had 6GB (C9 pro), and you mean to tell me that they will put less than a midrange in their flagship with everything the best that exists?

                  - Apple processors have by far the best single core performance. And it's fact that single core performance is much more important than multi core performance. Most apps and games are single threaded.
                  - The lower screen (rendering) resolution puts less strain on GPU.

S808 and S810 are the worst SoCs ever from Qualcomm. They are the least efficient and has the worst performance, overeating, etc.

                    The SoC efficiency is mainly depending on the nm (nanometer) of the process and the architecture.

                    The biggest power consumer is the screen.

                            I think Samsung is delibrately not putting in big batteries cos people won't upgrade a year or 2.

                                        Less bezel, more screen, almost same battery.

                                        This phones are going to be much wider. Bad to hold if you do not have big hands.
