31 January 2017
Although it's clearly in an unfinished state, this confirms what we've heard (and seen) about the phone so far.

Hmm, the lower bezels are thicker than the top ones. So that's why they were hiding it.

zodiacfml, 01 Feb 2017I guess they will be releasing a similar phone but based on... moreNah they should wait for whatever comes after 835, which should be a minor revision.

Anonymous, 01 Feb 2017I've heard that Samsung was given first access to the chip ... moreI don't think so, they now have a very rigorous process to ensure the quality of their phones in place. If they released it on time or even earlier many people who dislike the company would've said a very similar thing, that they're rushing it again therefore its inherently flawed/faulty. Kaboom part 2 and all the accompanying jokes would've soon start coming their way smh

RaghavaZ, 01 Feb 2017That's not the wisest suggestion one would give to LG. That... moreYou're right I'm not disagree with you, but I personally think it would've made better sense to delay it a little and just pack in as much specs as possible in the new G6 and maybe even a few new head-turning features and unleash it to the masses later. Realistically speaking, they won't steal that much sales or customers from Samsung's new S8 they would've had a better shot if they released a proper G6 with all the bells and whistles later. LG still has a strong user-base so sales would've been excellent.

AnonD-42603, 01 Feb 2017I don't mind if it is 820 or 821 as long as CAMERA, BATTERY... moreI'm using an 820 phone rn and a G6 with an 820/821 chip in it is fine so long as the price is right and adjusted for it. LG doesn't have much leeway they have to price this badboy lower than they usually do for their flagships and of course it's also mandatory that they include an all-day battery as well.

So far it seems LG G6 === LG V34 A.K.A. V20 mini, international version. Which is awesome, IMO. I just hope they won't pull a Google with $800 start price.

This has been LG's strategy since before, not going with the latest SOC. Like the G4, not going with SD810 and stick with 808 cause of heating issues. Different case with G5 because of low profit margins they are forced to compete with other companies when it comes to specs. If this would be release I think this would have either SD820 or SD821.

it should have snapdragon 835 because if lg want to compete with s8 or other 2017 deviceses

that leaked photo is how lg want your phone be. overheat battery and battery drain. so you need to make a jump cable like that to use external battery.

LG makes nice looking phones, but they got to innovate more if they want to leap ahead in the market. I wanted an LG at some point, mainly based on the looks of the phone, but they can be problematic devices.
