Well in fact if there is one thing that iPhones are consistently good at (and which even Android fans have to agree) is that their custom chip solutions are very good with amazing single-core CPU performance and outstanding GPU power.

They learnt from the best cheater: Samsung. There is a reason Android sounds fast in benchmarks but all lags far behind iPhone and even Window phones (when Window phones where a thing).

You have to wonder whether One Plus is telling the truth about their battery capacity since this can’t be easily verified. OnePlus also releases videos showing how quickly their battery charges up compared to the competition. This performance must be considered highly suspect since they can easily program the phone to show a faster charging rate than actual.

Anonymous, 01 Feb 2017We also don't know whether or not the games are loading low... moreThat's why optimalization and reasonable screen res is that important. iPhones, OnePlus 3, Z5 Compact, all of them benefits from small res screen. There is hardly a way to enjoy advantage of QHD/4K res on a 5.5-5.7" display. Before adding more and more RAM and bigger, hungrier display (which is not all that bad- tech has to advance), optimize OS first. OS is the manager of every hardware resource. You can have many resources but a bad manager would not be able to use it at the fullest btw.

J o m s, 01 Feb 2017Real-world comparisons don't agree with worthl3ss benchmark... moreWe also don't know whether or not the games are loading lower resolution textures for iOS, due to the lower screen resolution. Until we know, I am treating it as Apple and Oranges comparison (excuse the pun ;)).
One thing for sure is that when things are moved over to the Vulcan API, it will reduce Metal's advantage over Android.

It favors Apple SoC by giving more weight on HTML/Javascript test rather than Memory tests which is more important. Try a side-by-side test and you will see that Android phones equipped with SD821 is generally faster than iPhone 7/7+ except on some cherry-picked games that are optimized for iOS.

OnePlus 3T user here: OnePlus seems to have taken a leaf out of VW's book!
At any rate, that does not impact my level of satisfsction with the phone, which remains high.

If those monkeys who developed GB will fix their app to maximize each core at 100% (or close to it), you will see that frequency of each core will reach its maximum speed and that is the best way to test its performance.
Why would test HTML or compression or encoding with a pathetic 1GHz core when it can run at maximum of 2.4Ghz?
