Synthetic benchmarks is one thing, real life performance is another. Sure, it is convenient to be able to tell a phone's potential performance through benchmarking scores but the best way to assess a phone's performance is to spend time with the phone and use it on a daily basis (or at least tinker with the phone on store).

And this is why everyone should NOT always rely on benchmarks for performance reference. Only in some cases though that it is true. On my Zenfone Max, I get 524 single core score on GeekBench 4, roughly 40 points higher than my friend's J5 2016, and I can tell that it is actually true, because my Zenfone Max actually opens games faster than my friend's J5 2016

what's the point, you already have more than enough power even on midrange SoCs. benchmarking on flagship phones nowadays add up to nothing more than bragging about how thick the chrome is on the bumper of your tricked-out car.
