wp7 = total crap , useless ; symbian^3 is far better ; if they have choosen Android, that would've been a great move. in the future 99% of the devices will be Android based. ciao

Even with just 'old and slow' Symbian, Nokia was and still is at the top. Now coupled with Windows and still using Symbian and Meego, they are gonna so dominate the market. Competition is good. Winning is better. Bright days ahead for Nokia.

yes, speaking as another once faithful symbian user with a 5800.. When it first came out, it was great, but then adobe never managed to get flash 10 for symbian, but no problem with the android version!! anyone know why???

and then some good android phones came out, with bigger, higher resolution screens, very thin and light casings, and very fast graphics, to say nothing about a full browser with adobe 10.1 support...

and nokia brings out the N8, fantastic camera, but not such a good phone or GUI... :)

The E7?? so what will you do when you want to take your SD from your old nokia (full of 30G of albums, pics, movies, etc..) and want to put it on??? Only 16G storage, and no way to expand that????

We still can't say if they will s*ck... both are big companies, anything is possible, sharing their resources might give us something cool!

just like what they say, WP7 is way better than when Android first came out the scene.. so i believe it won't be as crap as most of you say... :)

BTW i'm an iOS and Android user..

As long as Meego is still in the picture, I'm fine. I don't like any Microsoft Phone OS so this news is a bit of a downer but I'm glad they DIDN'T choose Android. The fanboys of Android here have driven me to almost dislike Android. WP7 sucks pretty bad though. I hope this is temporary until Meego gets off the ground. I won't be getting any WP7 Nokia devices only Meego will be on my Nokia.

AnonD-1082, 11 Feb 2011Engadget may be biased against Nokia but they were accurate... moreOk, so that means Symbian is ready for the graveyard? I never did like Symbian anyway! I'm still skeptical... let's see what happens with these two giants!

i don't know if this join-forces is a good idea or not.
but, let's pray for the best.
i'm curently using Nokia's phones and and old Windows phone.
and those two phones never let me down.
let's hope that Nokia and Microsoft will not let us down.
