[deleted post]of course, meego is alive. nokia is just one of intel's partners. They have other ones and can afford to look for one.
It would be fun if the japanese are on it too (cp way way ahead of nokia).
Bad move, trojan elop.

Advance, 12 Feb 2011Nokia is moving in the right direction and so is Microsoft.... moreClearly you are the one not doing research.
At the end of Q4 2010, Symbian devices made up 30% of smart phone market share, where as Android devices made up 31-32% of Smart phone market share. In countries such as India where high population and developing markets Nokia is steadily losing market share as well. Indians according to survey on average prefer Indian brands over Nokia and Samsung due to price. So you really believe that HP with WebOS will take 4th place in market share? You clearly are the most delusional out of all the Nokia fanboys I've encountered. New WebOS does indeed look nice, but they may be too late as Android has steadily created a solid foundation for itself.

Nokia is moving in the right direction and so is Microsoft. Nokia and Android would not be a good look. Andriod is flooding the market with too many devices and not providing all the devices with the lastest upgrades which make the devices useless in less than a year. People did not want this merger because it will cause trouble. Now that Nokia and Microsoft have life in the U.S. Market again the others will still have to play # 2. I hear a lot of people are saying that Nokia is failing-do your research they are failing in the U.S. Nokia is still growning in other countries. When I travel Nokia is the phone of choice that we use because it gets the job done. In the next five years Hp Web Os will be the next Andriod and Andriod will be dead in the water. Nokia,RIM,Apple, and HP will be the top four in the coming years. These company provides productivity like it or not when you buy from these companies people rarely dislike the devices. I am a nokia fan for life, but if Nokia stop making devices I would not mind if RIM, HP, or Apple replaced them but that will never happen because Nokia is to powerful to be replaced worldwide...maybe in the U.S. Nice work Nokia keep thinking outside the box.

Poor decision, Nokia should have gone Android instead of a far too limited OS in Windows. This guarantees that I will never own another Nokia phone.

Wow, I didn't expect this but I kinda like the alliance. I love the threatening "we have the resources and we're gonna destroy them all" :)

AnonD-1082, 12 Feb 2011Nokia stocks took a plunge today. Even the investors think ... morestocks came crashing even before trojan elop opened his mouth on capital markets day. People just took the opportunity to make some cash from the elopocalypse drama.
