- for Nokia, probably 'jumping from the fire into the frying pan'; win7 mobile seems years away, while android keeps moving on target; incredible, if one remembers Nokia had the internet tablet working long time ago...

AnonD-291, 13 Feb 2011Is this even a smartphone or a candy phone ?
6 years ago... morethe guilt is not in nokia but in the stupid people that prefer a fancier user interface to real features, and nokia chose to sell to those -the mayority- stupid people.
anyway nokia could have resisted for longer with symbian until meegoo was ready, but the ceo betrayed the company.
whats wrong is CEOs in general, they're not that special and they don't deserve their exaggerated salaries. the whole system of "headhunters" and ceos is a shame that doesn't even benefit the companys that pay them.
nokia was good with hardware, good engineers, the user interface is fine, just not for stupid people,
nokia failed in delivering a good 'ecosystem', that's what a ceo should have been able to make happen, but ceos are overrated, they just care for their bonuses and salaries.

First off, Ive have never used a WP7 phone so I'm by no means an expert. The OS is pretty new and the disadvantages(some or all)s will eventually be added in later updates(so i've read). I guess MS wanted to released a stable and simple OS and then later add more features and functions.
I see many people hating on WP7 and hoping it will never succeed. I personally hope they do and I'm by no means a MS fanboi. I just like having more than a couple OS to choose from.

If Nokia can enable all of the lacking FEATURES of Windows Phone 7
thats the time that they will surely dominate the market..
WP7 is fresh and unique looking OS compared to other competitors the lack of features like the ones mentioned by other users is the only thing that they need to fix to gain the consumers and developers' attention...
looking forward to this partnership
Microsoft should open their OS to NOKIA.

If Nokia could remake the N8 and E7 with Windows Phone OS, then it would be great. What do you guys think?

Nokia have not got to change there cameras to auto-focus one instead og the fixed focus ones,so they can attract people to buy these new smartphones, they only used the fixed focus ones on the C7,C6-01 an E7 so they could make these mobiles alot thinner,so instead of people leaving Nokia they better change back to auto-focus ones to show the do mean business

the design look nice. hope the material of this model not full plastic.
hope nokia can do some additional feature, for example:
a) can connect USB direct to the phone, just like nokia N8 and E7
b) hope still can see ovi map on this phone

N8 has some specs that no other phone has. If this Nokia phone will come with those specs it will be wonderful.
With all indication most of this people just want to play with their cell phone other than using it for productivity.
Imagine plugging your printer to your cell phone and print directly.
This could be the beginning of something wow to come.

To all you complaining and whiny wp7 hating sons of a guns, updates are to be coming to wp7 which adds new and additional functionalities. Stop manipulating people rusty fandroids and sour apples. By the way, that is a mouth watering concept.

Nice concept, but if Nokia & MS will not put aside main disadvantages of Windows Phone system (No system-wide file manager, No Bluetooth file transfers, No USB mass storage mode, No multitasking, No copy/paste, Too dependent on Zune software for computer file management and syncing, No music player equalisers, No Flash or Silverlight support in the web browser, No DivX/XviD video support, No internet tethering support), then WP system will be a death platform, as it is for now.
