And secondly, I never said that 21:9 content won't be cropped, but when you look 21:9 on this display, it will be as big as on a 16:9 5.85" display, only difference being in 16:9 display, more space will be wasted from top and bottom (in landscape mode) but as display is narrower, it is as wide as a 5.2" display but write it down, the benefit of dis display is much more in viewing ultrawide content. And your argument "it's a 16:9 display anyway" is wrong.
But all of our discussion will be in vain if LG simply puts two separate controllers for one display, one for 5.2" 1440 by 2560 regular and 3" 1440 by 320 secondary display.

By Looking at the picture, the dual camera setup is different from the G5 and V20. Specifically the wide angle lens.

But since it's curvy I could be wrong a couple of mms. 21:9 content still will crop from top and bottom (in landscape mode). I mean yeah, it's cool and looks good but it's still a 5.2 display with 16:9 content. It's a genius idea for design but we'll see how practical they can use that 18:9 without going gimmicky.

Aside from the back being a bit homely, otherwise looking good to this pair of eyes. Would definitely prefer a non-metal back with wireless charging over that cheapo looking brushed back.

This panel has rather unique ratio so it is a special panel and also LGs track record conform it because LG had unveiled 5.5" 1440×2560 543ppi panel before G3.
And about display I was saying same thing as you that width stays same and also agree that 16:9 content will look same like on 5.2". But if the content is even wider, say, 21:9,then it will be same same as u r watching it on 5.85".

It's screen will be 64.7mm × 129... more1. I didn't base my calculations on display width (which is not confirmed) I tried using the known port sizes and using it as ratios. Like 3.5 mm jack to phone width.
2. It may have a 5.7 display with the same width of a 5.2 display but it has 18:9 aspect ratio. As you can see 9 stays the same. It won't have more display width horizontally. When you're watching 16:9 content only ~5.15 of that 5.7 will be used anyway.
3. This could be the compact version.
4. Could still be wrong :)

Some parts of the phone do remind me of iDevices, but other than that it does look okay. Hoped for a bigger screen, though.. Well, hopefully next time.
