Why do you think cameras are losing business. Before smartphones came cameras were alot more expensive. Obviously you don't have brains and no knowledge of technology to understand this. Next-generation phone cameras will probably wipe out conventional dslrs. You think before you post.

A cheap smartphone camera module cannot even begin to dream about coming even close to a 10mp DSLR from say 2007, and in many ways it cannot even match a 35mm film camera.
Our smartphones are good because they are always with us, that's about it. There is a saying in a photography world - the best camera is the one that you have on you.

AnonD-39937, 07 Feb 2017256GB is the maximum for memory cards and phone storage you are wrong , current standard supports up to 2 TB , only reason why we don't have higher capacity memory cards than 256GB available yet is because there is no demand for it , but if there is a demand there will be supply ;) , something like this sensor is exactly what creates that demand .

1GB(Gigabit) of ram? LOL i love the marketing guys, so in essence 125Mb (Megabytes). Someone forgot to tell them that transfer rates are measured in bits/s, which storage, even the volatile one, is measured in bytes.

It's strange how they are the main sensor supplier for many flagships phones that get excellent results, yet they fail at doing that on their own phones

Sony seems to do very well in the Camera section on there phones,but its there phone Design, Sony needs to change and stop using to much of Bezels on there phones and offer more screen using on there phones,as nearly every Sony phone looks the same,why?can"t they change there Premium phone design to make them more different from there Budget phones,as they seem to trailing behind the others

where are the hologram communication? this is the 21 century people... or are you just waiting for the Germans or American to invent something new and then copy it as usual?
