such poor quality... though the jet black is even worse, they have scratches on them new out of the box and will scratch when you clean them with microfiber cloths. i don't think i've seen any that aren't completely covered in scratches

To all those people quickly jumping to defend Apple my point is this,If it's just wear and tare on a phone that's 4 months old? How come it's reported only the Matt Black phones that chipping? Inferior quality methinks.
Or perhaps it's a new Apple processor and Ichip :-)

random access ONE, 11 Feb 2017i am a iPhone 7 Plus matte Black user. i use the without a... more.. the worst thing that many users don't know.. whether iPhone or any other brand... that when you put your metal phone in a case (pretty much TPU, silicon..etc) the painting on the aluminum, metal...etc will wear off and starts to chip...
i'm keeping my phone with no case, no tempered glass or whatsoever, and let it breathe.

If you can afford to buy this iphone 7 then you shouldn't mind and go to Karalux or Goldgenie to get gold plating for your chipped black iphone 7. Problem solved.

i am a iPhone 7 Plus matte Black user. i use the without any cases and my hands sweat a lot cuz i'm in Sri Lanka and it's very hot hear. i don't have any issuses with my iPhone 7 Plus what so ever.
