        2,700 mAh battery capacity to 5.2" to 5.8" display means apple want you to stay close to, seat, eat, sleep near your electrical source/port/socket all day lol

          Instead of hammering the company to make the battery bigger we are happy and comparing it to the smallest iphone saying the increase is %38. Need to be compared to the 7plus.
          Beside if 8 ends up to be 5.2 that would be a bummer!

            The battery room designs is not so perfect for the battery, I think the battery room should always be square.

                        We can't call it a feat of engineering (Z5 compact also has 2700 mAh in a small body). But if the battery upgrade turns out to be true, then we might see a resolution increase in the smaller iPhone.

                          That's it? Just 2700mah battery for iphone 8 that gonna have 5.2-5.8" screen. Wall-hugger era still continues. I doubt the 5.8" display of iphone 8 even fit into the iphone 7 dimension(138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm). The way Apple using OLED which supposedly thinner than LCD and removing ear jack doesn't justify the 2700mah battery. Where all the space go?

There's no such thing as "efficiency" in computing systems without also mentioning a use case. You always lose some, win some.

                              In the case of Apple only very certain application can have some background options, but even them don't run in the background only a small daemon version of their does.

                              So yes, no backgrounding, zip, nada, NONE!

                              Try to start loading a website and then navigate elsewhere and then back, try to play an HTML5 video while you into a different up... you have to pick and choose the apps carefully to get even a semblance of backgrounding and even then it's fake really.

                              So yes, no backgrounding. Learn how the different OSes work before commenting.

                                How is it an engineering feat? They finally just used the proper amount of space available for a normal sized battery.

                                      You can also buy a 10 000 mAh battery pack for $ 40 and are still cheaper off than with the Moto G4...
