I'm waiting for USB c to become mainstream.

I'd love to make a switch, but my Samsung Galaxy S7 is still microUSB. Guess I'll make a switch in 2/3 years when upgrading to my next latest and greatest one year old smartphone at a reasonable price :D

Both. I use micro USB on my Nexus 7 and S7 edge, and USB c on my Pixel C and Lumia 950. Mostly I use wireless charging though. The Pixel is the only device without it that regularly gets plugged in.

Sadly not yet. On the other hand, ill be using dual side reversible micro-usb cables to alleviate this issue somewhat as well as usb-c would do :p

Type c, micro USB, and lightning. I'll be done with micro USB within the next few to several months, when Apple finally decides to release some updated tablets. I would have rather had a new pixel/nexus tablet, but I've pretty much given up on that happening.

Will stay with microUSB until they invent yet another standard (USB Type-D?).

Accessories manufacturers need to make money, so periodical connector standard change will happen from time to time.

AnonD-39937, 19 Feb 2017USB-C will replace all USB-A ports in laptops until 2019...... moreNah. I don't think it will be that soon. Maybe in 2030. USB-A are widely use right now that when people said USB, they will automatically imagine a USB-A.

Someone Else, 19 Feb 2017I don't have a problem with USB-C replacing Micro USB. But ... moreUSB-C will replace all USB-A ports in laptops until 2019...so you better go wireless... 3.5mm may be next after USB-A

AnonD-558092, 19 Feb 2017Thunderbolt 3 is way better. 10 Gbps and Type-C output.Yeah, thunderbolt 3 it's better for laptops only (because it needs Intel processor), but in the end it's based on USB-C and some tweaks... It's a protocol, not a new generation jack

Standard USB here, but planning to buy the next generation of smart devices (laptop, phone) with USB-C, because it's great, it can be used as a simple usb, as hdmi, displayport, fast charge with power delivery 100W, it's slimmer and truly universal, from now on no mini or micro cable, just USB-C for laptop and phone... But a USB 3.1 one

PLAYER SLAYER, 19 Feb 2017Heh, my brand new laptop has absolutely 0 USB-C ports.well, probably your 'brand new' laptop is an old model haha. Any new laptop has usb c.

Heh, my brand new laptop has absolutely 0 USB-C ports.

I don't have a problem with USB-C replacing Micro USB. But I WILL have a problem if UCB-C started to replace USB-A like all those modern laptops nowadays.

                              Lumia 1020.. So microUSB.

I'm waiting for those asking about the miniUSB section

I have both but the main is one with USB type C. The other, in fact, is a mobile phone, it isn't a smartphone

USB C is good and closer to Apples Lightning than ever. But I think in the future, we will have to do one more switch, which will be from USB C to a USB cable which is both digital and magnetic. And if the USB developers are lazy, we will have to do even 2 switches, when they first implement digital and magnetic afterwards. But then, I don't think there will be another switch, only speed improvements and later on, we will get into an almost completely wireless future

                                      Enjoying the best of both.

The OP3s great battery life means I don't have to worry about having a USB-C cable with me all the time.

Whereas I can charge the S7 Edge everywhere because most of my friends and family use microUSB devices as well.
