I just remembered that:
M9 from htc and Z3+ from Sony, those both fall into a rage! Also Z5/Z5p from Sony and Lumia 950 XL came with Air-condition! Because Snap 810 :| and remembered that Exynos 7420 Saved S7/S7e/S7e+
Outcome:
apart from GPU Exynos >>>>> Snapdragon and:
Nowadays Mali G71 (if not) > Adreno 540
Mali G71 = Adreno 540 Surely xD

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2017We should appreciate how fast phone socs got in such small ... moreYou made perfect sense until the very end.
Apple and the iPhone never actually revolutionized anything. No matter what people think. And no matter what was claimed. They saw where the world was going with smart phones and barely anyone knew about them so when apple jumped on the bandwagon with their huge marketing and lying glorifying schemes everyone believed. But there was always ask the other companies that where more advanced and set actually set things moving while apple just stole all the glory for the naive public mind.
As well in some ways apple improved since the departure of Steve Jobs. The iPhone has actually advanced a little more since then and some even admitted to a few mistakes.

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2017We should appreciate how fast phone socs got in such small ... moreNah, just Intel closed the competition. Nothing to do with Moore's law or whatever. See GPUs for better comparison ... they still go strong.
In ARM we have a similar situation with Qualcomm playing the role of Intel slowing down progress, let's hope more and more companies would start using their own chips (like Apple) because of Qualcomm's stubbornness..

It's not uncommon in Android to do heavy image/video processing, and while it's working, why not spend your time playing games or reading web articles? That's when multicore comes into play, where iOS isn't yet capable of.

RejZoR, 18 Feb 2017I don't understand this obsession with cramming gazillion c... moreActually having more cores is better. Just because IOS is optimized to work well on 2 cores, doesn't mean android is the same. Android can always use all cores the phone gives. Having only 2 cores would actually slow down android devices. If you have more cores, you can spread the workload across them and make the cpu finish the task faster. With more cores you can have more separate things open at the same time, making multitasking better. In android devices what matters the most is multi core speed. Benchmarks like geekbench or antutu always side with apple and utilize less cores and yet apple devices still can't reach android flagship multi core speed which isn't being utilized to it's fullest.

I don't understand this obsession with cramming gazillion cores into devices that couldn't care less about multicore processing. Phones aren't some compute powerhouses meant for encoding of 2 hours of 4K video or calculating 300 billion digits of Pi. Phones should have max 4 cores and those really really fast. One of things Apple gets it and for a change I agree with them (despite the fact I absolutely hate everything Apple).
