AnonD-647229, 24 Feb 2017It's all about quality not quantity my friend. Yes I agreed with you, but Samsung sure don't want to keep those Note 7, India will be the best choice to get rid of them fast.

No one is forcing you to get it you can always purchase the S8/Plus or wait for the Note 8 or here's a shocking suggestion: buy something else!

Definitely gonna get it if priced appropriately... But nope, Samsung would probably just give it a slight discount and make it a 'cheaper' alternative to those who can't afford the S8.

ccychin, 22 Feb 2017Seriously what do you want them to do with the millions of ... morelol why are you comparing an electronic product to food seriously. I'm not sure who you are trolling here. I hope you offer your house for them to burn off the "waste" though. Do you seriously think all "new" products are "new" boy? Scared of buying something which someone brought into the toilet? lol. Do you go into a restaurant's kitchen and confirm that the people making your burgers or food wash their hands "cleanly" before buying and eating your food too? lol

The one's naive is you boy lol.

This is Samsung's own reputation at stake here, what good would it do to them to falsely claim something is not the problem and then try to sell them and end up having to recall them again even after the Note 7 major incident?

Not gonna answer you on the discount, but hope boy. I mentioned "hope", I didn't say they'll give a big discount for sure.

On your last point, let's face it - i doubt you were ever a Samsung customer and no S8 or Note 7 fiasco will make that change. In our language, i can quite safely say "You're just trying to stir sh|t" lol

Xz8441, 22 Feb 2017Seriously what do you want them to do with the millions of ... moreSeriously what do you want them to do with the millions of unsold / returned / unexploded units that are perfectly fine for usage except the batteries?

My answer... Just burn them all in a closed chamber or anything. Just make sure dont pollute environment. Who tell them such a tech company making a exploding phone that even cheap china brand dont produce. Imagina a restaurant has leftover unsold food. are you ok if they resold it??? those component has been in store for so many month is not good. also try do imagine what the previous owner do to the phone . has it been using in toilet or do them wash hand before using the phone? is it clean? lolllllll
Only faulty is battery? u very naive sir... why the same battery by same supplier for s7 edge and note 5 is ok? if it only battery they will not want to have drop note7.. it may be hardware circuit controlling charging process which they need time to redevelop.

I rather they do this (sell them as refurbished with working batteries) and giving a discount (hopefully a significant one) to people who still wishes to buy them, rather than throwing all of them down the bin and generating electronic waste. Do you know how much electronic waste the world generates every year?

My answer.... U hoping for significant discount? in your dream sir hahahahaha lollll... dont even expect at all... reason samsung wooo and commercial point if there is signaificant discount will affect sales of samsung own midrange and j series model.

On your point of using the Note 7 screens on S8 - so, you are OK with them reusing parts of Note 7 and selling you the final product at FULL price, but NOT OK with them changing the faulty part and selling you the whole piece (or similar) of Note 7 at a DISCOUNT?

My answer.... of course not ok.. initial i have think to buy s8 but very scare will be using note 7 part due to reason i mention above. but i scare this is a show to convince customer s8 not using note 7 component... but now i have feeling most of it will be used in s8 lolllll...

That totally don't make any sense.

They should rename it to Note 7R, R for refurbished.
