If it sell with 50% discount then i will take it. I have more confident on a proper certified refurbish phone as those phone are tested more precisely then phone that produce in the million in limited time, miss check is more likely to happed.

AnonD-196068, 21 Feb 2017I can see a major problem with this. Should so much as one ... moreYou bring a very valid point... and because of these jackasses, it'll either be risk reputation or add millions of electronic waste to the ever growing pile. I'm not even talking about the money here although Samsung is probably also looking at that.
I'm not saying that Samsung is not at fault for their Note 7 disaster but those biting at the tails of this fiasco will definitely make it a difficult decision

ccychin, 22 Feb 2017Initially i taught what samsung will do with all the millio... moreSeriously what do you want them to do with the millions of unsold / returned / unexploded units that are perfectly fine for usage except the batteries?
I rather they do this (sell them as refurbished with working batteries) and giving a discount (hopefully a significant one) to people who still wishes to buy them, rather than throwing all of them down the bin and generating electronic waste. Do you know how much electronic waste the world generates every year?
On your point of using the Note 7 screens on S8 - so, you are OK with them reusing parts of Note 7 and selling you the final product at FULL price, but NOT OK with them changing the faulty part and selling you the whole piece (or similar) of Note 7 at a DISCOUNT?
That totally don't make any sense.

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2017there only selling it to Thailand and Indonesia so chill pe... moreThe market is still open even it refurbished but US, UK, France, no chance. Yes people there is paranoid, too paranoid/most paranoid people in this world and they have a reason. People from developing country will welcome it with wide open hand, like India, Indonesia, Thailand, and more. But I'll skip it. Hope someone get my old Note7 and recover some data to blackmail me, I'm waiting and I have very good lawyer lol

They are really smart to do so, since India have the most phones review then most other country. So if India get it 1st hand, those Note 7 will get the fastest review spread to the world.

They should sell it along the Note8 as a much cheaper option. They should also rename it since Note7's name is already tarnished.

say what you want but the Note 7 is one sexy power house ... if it comes with smaller battery and retain the same phone dimension with a reasonable lower price (mind you the Note 8 is coming same year) then I might consider to buy it.
it's got to be a damn good price deal though !!

They are asking for trouble really with bringing refurbished Note 7 in the hands of the users. This is the worst mobile of all time after all.
I'm guessing they are trying to test the ground , just to be sure that the S8 doesn't hit the ground in similar fashion.
