kantautor, 28 Feb 2017If they will not steal personal data as Google does - then ... moreYou can remove Google for Android. Just flash AOSP and stop complaining. Every manufacturer be it of os or hardware collects user data if you don't want to give data buy 3310

consumersmartphone, 28 Feb 2017I thought you happy with pure Android inside Nokia 6 lolIt's better than bloatware-ridden one but not I don't like Android overally - even CM caused me many problems. What made me sad the most is how they denied possible usage of Sailfish even it's from ex-Nokia people who made Meego OS. But I have to thank Sony, old Nokia rival, for bringing it back to life. Nokia, please change your mind.

The most important is the apps that work synergistic with OS like Android or iOS. We do not need another Microsoft OS.

Good move Sony!! possibly bring it on dual boot with two separate partitions along with Android. it will attract more enthusiasts for sure..!

Sailfish OS can use a vast range of Android apps thanks to it Dalvik emulator. Nokia disappointed me for the second time. No info on flagship, then one of their executives declined any possibility of using Sailfish, giving Sony the chance. WTF Nokia.

Ok, I wasn't expecting this, but this ex Nokia OS has any apps on it? What does it bring on the table that the big OSs don't have? Nowadays apps are the most important thing about a mobile OS, apps are the reason why Windows 10 Mobile is still a mess.

Make compatible apps in this OS and it will be a contender.

It's a break off group from Nokia, responsible for meego OS.

They showed great promise way back in 2011-12. But somehow could not maintain that momentum.

I had offered my services for phone design and join the group. But it didn't work out.

They did manage to roll out few devices, but couldn't achieve the success which one+ did. They even had some crowd funded tablet, but no idea what happened.
May be they didn't get any parent company like BBK for one+.

Let's see how it works with SONY.

I wait for Nokia to jump in. But, nice to see sony has the same vision. Android has to much power. It is time to subside and go in a normal latency. One mobile OS on the market is not enough, and dangeurous.

Really. Miss N9 now and Meego.

Instead of distributing os why not making a gooooood phone and if not intention why not handle this os to n9 nokia userssssssss
