This new nokia 3310 doesn`t feel nostalgic at all.
...and yeah I dislike the Nokia OS in 3310.

Wish it had Nokia replaceable front and back covers like most of old school Nokia series.... Really like swapping different colors/design depending on the season or festivities.

A 3210 remaster would have been better. It was nicer than 3310 back in time. And that new one looks too fancy compared to real 3310.

Both agree and disagree with your points.
1) Albeit not a replica of the original, it can indeed sell like hot cakes given it does remind us of the Nokia of old. Like the Nes-classic, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. A bunch of my friends and relatives are already poised to buy one for a multitude of usages (some people use a dedicated voice only mobile plan for home, some use it for work, some for sheer nostalgia, etc..).
2) They shouldn't have named it the 3310. It's an updated model and something along the lines of a 3320 would've been more suiting.

Thousands of people have millions of thought and thinking and thousands of mouth to speak good or bad for anything....i just want to say....dont go for (TODAYS REVIEW FANDAA) to destroy anyone's legacy....just go with your mind and buy Nokia if you want and love it. If not , then simply buy Chinese...crap..there is huge surplus..with same model and function....only name changed...like...x.y.z....

People's hatred for this phone is justifiable.
What Nokia did here is a textbook case of trying to accomplish two things at once and failing at both.
Firstly, if anybody honestly thinks this isn't a hype-wagon money grab, let's take a look for instance at it's name - the 3310 (2017) which now completely falls out their nomenclature. Single digits used for their smartphone line up (3,5,6) and tri-digits for their feature phones (150, 216, 230 etc.). Secondly, for those calling this a subtle update of the original - it actually isn't, it's a redesign meaning it's revolutionary not evolutionary. The biggest faulter is with the home buttons which pay no homage to the original whatsoever and as a result have forced the widening and distortion of the oval motif which the 3310 is known for amoungst other things.
My third and biggest point goes back to the "achieving two things at once and failing" sentiment. There's quite a few people saying they respect that its a feature phone not trying to outdo the big boys. In the same breath you've got people harking on how indestructible they hope it's gonna be or hoping for a great amount of battery life. This is by no means a phone meant to simulate the qualities of the original. It is a feature phone by heart with a nostalgic design, plain and simple. If it breaks easily, that makes sense. If it runs on 2G, again that makes sense. If you're going to bring it to task about not being able to do this and that - you might as well do the same for the Nokia 150.
And here lies my point, by choosing to name it the 3310, you've automatically created a need for the phone to do something in a big way, to excel in its class, to present something it can be known for - and it simply doesn't. It's just a bright feature phone. People need to understand that the original 3310 was not deliberately built like a tank nor was it engineered to outlast an apocalypse with battery life. It was simply the culture of phones back then. Back at a time when industrial grade plastic phones were all we knew and the tech in said phones were straightforward and utilitarian. Fast forward to 2017 and we've somehow forgotten that?
This is why Nokia did not do itself a favour by ridding on the wings of nostalgia. The phone has changed and if you're gonna make a lot of noise about something and not bring anything new to the table, don't be surprised by the polarising feedback that follows.

Why the negativity? I like carrying a second phone that doesn't cost me a fortune and can handle rough life. And only Nokia makes them, and makes them goood.

If you think of the current industry, it is all style and no substance. About 90% of any smartphone whether it cost $100 or $1000 generally are used the same exact way.
The people paying for premium for flagships is to overpay for a better screen, camera, SoC,and showing off. But the general way they are used is about as close to an entry-level smartphone. Most of the overage charges is simply to brag about the speed, how nice the camera and screen is, etc.
I don't think Nokia hit the mark with this 3310 impostor. They are living off the legendary name to keep it nostalgic from simpler times. Yet, when I see the S8 or iPhone X, I am hardly impressed by it either. Poor ergonomics. No removable battery, FM radio, IR blaster, and so on.
The mobile industry has become the fashion industry. This 3310 will probably flop and be catered to a bored, niche crowd. Then they will go back using their same ol' smartphone where the industry as become stale as is. The smartphone "revolution" is over, folks. Behind us now.

This new, actually old and outdated, 3310, prove that HMD is not Nokia! The real Nokia would have invented a new even better design, while HMD only copy outdated design with even more outdated hardware and software! HMD is not Nokia!

I am gonna get one myself as a successor to my work phone Nokia C1-02. I like it's shape and oddly designed modern 3310 curved body. Count me in for one. And when it's all scrated and ugly I can easily replace the whole cover.
