if Nokia are pushing anything but meego out to the masses then i don't see the point of this developer device.

I think Nokia should focus on MeeGo and scrap everything else. The economies of scale dictate that.

And I see more people atacking these companies than people defending or telling that they are "almighty", you people seen to have more fun trolling and atacking companies than using your phones. Why the hell do you spent your money with your phone? To adore the manufacter and criticize other ones? Seriously, that's so dumb.

You know what is sad? Every time there's a new article, no one discuss of the article itself anymore, everyone are only trying to bash other companies, I'm sure that most people don't even read the articles anymore. Man, it's so stupid to lose your lifes here bashing some companies and adoring other ones, you people are worse than marketing, you people have no life.a

Yet more Nokia haters saying "nokia is garbage", "nokia is dead", "symbian sucks" etc. etc. etc.

Please try to stay on topic people.

IMHO Nokia has spent waaaay too long talking about Maemo, and now MeeGo without actually releasing any products. I have to confess I just don't understand how this device or OS will benefit consumers, developers or Nokia themselves when it's clearly not going to have any large part in their overall market presence.

UNLESS in the long-term it actually will be Nokia's main OS. In which case IMHO it's something they should be pushing out to devs for feedback and experimentation. If they're serious about taking this OS into the future long-term, they should be *giving* devices like these out to those who will make it a success (software developers) and encouraging them to provide feedback and create content for it.

*sigh* what are you doing, Nokia? I have a great deal of respect for you, but my loyalty can only go so far!

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2011IMO Nokia over the years have failed to distinguish between... moreSo true and my thoughts exactly... I was one of the people who got on the n900 device... and while it had a few shortcommings it really showed potentiale! I think it was a big mistake that Nokia killed that OS off the way they did. I think if Nokia went on some of those forums, they would see a different reality than the one they perceive... They would see alot of people who felt they got burned by Nokia and whom are not very likeley to ever buy a Nokia device again.
If Nokia aren't veeing silent as the grave (typical Nokia style) they are sending mixed signals and saying alot of contradictive stuff.

If you think companies that use another phone OS because they are too brainless to make their own, why is Nokia using another phone OS (Windows Phone) in the future instead of making their own?
