The Exynos in the S7 Edge is better than the SD821 (2016 SOC, a slightly overclocked SD 820) in the LG G6. The screen is better. Battery Life is better. The camera from what I've seen in several websites is better as well. Everything else is about the same.
So you think that I lack a brain for thinking an S7 Edge is a better buy when it costs several hundreds less and is a better phone? Ok... It's not my fault LG is now one year behind in the game and that the G6 and deserves to be compared to the S7E and not the S8.

Sorry LG, I might have been interested if it had the quad hi-fi DACS, but with that cut-down spec and premium price, no.
Ah well, I'll just hang on to my S7 Edge until something demonstrably better comes along.

I said in a previous post that if it were £500-£600 I would have gone for the LG. Don't think I will bother now. Just wait it out for the S8 and see how much that will be.

£699 for a previous gen SoC lol. No reason to buy LG phones at launch. Just wait a few months price gonna drop like crazy just like LG G5 because it gonna sell very bad.

699 squid? Over my dead corpse LG. Actually though I don't think this will be the final price I think Mobile fun is trying to cash in on some people being excited over the phone (Apple fan boy fever?) and reckoning they will subsequently cough up this sort of money. Get real though. The phone is OK but people are not stupid. 550 quid is the going rate for a phone like this. Oh and LG why on earth have you put Gorilla glass 3 on the front? 5 on the back is a good choice but you are basically saying you don't need it on the front if you drop your phone. Good luck there when Jerry Rigs everything does his bash tests on it.....

Why is it when someone criticises a manufacturer for over pricing a product they're a hater?
Basically, in highly competitive market such as this, I want the best bang for my buck!
If the G6 was priced more realistically, then I would probably pre-order one in the UK, but I think I'll wait until the S8 is released.
I would definitely consider the G6, but not at this price, and that doesn't make me a hater, just a consumer with an opinion!

It's an extremely conservative design (IMX258 cameras for both, 821/4GB chipset, older generation gorilla glass, radio/DAC/wireless charging are mutually exclusive and region-locked...) that reeks of cost-cutting, and they charge top dollar. I don't even get it.
