At £499, as opposed to £699, I may have considered it but no chance at that price. 6 to 8 months ago it might have been justified but even that is pushing it considering it does not have wireless charging etc.

LG phone is good just based on personal experience.

It's a great phone don't get me wrong. But not gonna sell at that price. They are making the same mistake as Sony.
There are plenty of cheap alternatives with same or similar spec.

SO many haters on this thread.
I like it. Not sure it's quite worth 700 of my hard earned cash - but it'll come down as soon as the competition release theirs.
I think LG did well with this one.
Real shame there's still no wireless charging. BUT the waterproofing makes it a real contender.
My only issue is the assemetry of the top and bottom bezels. Why oh why did they do this?

LG it would seem has lost the plot, They should have released the G6 one equipped with SD835 then that may have been worth the £699 price tag but with the SD821 aka last year's processor, It's not worth £399, I would rather get S7edge and as for Samsungs latest offering well that's a lot to be desired especially at £850.

This is the first good looking well rounded LG phone since the Nexus 5, in my view. It could sell by the bucketload and regain huge amounts of marketshare for them ...
... but it won't. Because they're pricing it way too high.

32 GB base storage and lack of some features which will be available in one region and not in others kills this otherwise great for me before arrival.

Even then though, the S8 is just around the corner, and all things being equal, Samsung' 'S' series has always enjoyed the upper hand over LG's 'G' line in terms of sales......and by quite a marging.
Even with the spec you suggest if the price is equal to the S8, then Samsung will all but surely come away with the win at LG's expense yet again.
As things stand, it might even be the case that the G6 offers less spec but at a higher price than the S8, in which case the G6 will be lucky to even match the G5's poor sales figures.
LG have lost the plot it would seem.

I paid £499 when the G5 came out in the UK, last year. There's no way i'm paying £699 for this! I was going to go for it if the price was similar or perhaps £549 - but that's way way over the top! Sorry LG, you've lost a long-time G-series user this time around.

£699 for this device? Are you crazy? The competition will have better specs for that price and they might even offer some goodies as an extra... £549 would've been reasonable! It's only the matter of time and it'll be sold for that much.

I voted out the EU Gravy train and... moreAbsolutely, Oneplus might have stated brexit as the reason for their price hike of the 3, but most people saw right through that, and new it had more to do with oportunistic profiteering than economic analysis.
Likewise I would say LG's decision to price the G6 this high suggests more of a bout of corporate collective insanity than reasons relating to 'brexit' fallout.
They'll come to they're senses soon enough when they see the lack of sales the G6 gets at that ridiculous price.
