Well, there's a rumor that the Next Pixel also lacks a 3,5mm-jack.
Even it's a rumor the Pixel-story is already going wrong.
Never out sold and to expensive with no... just nothing to make it cost €800+
Nexus killed everything. Pixel is just a suicide step.

Google is as premium as Apple and Samsung so they deserve that title, can't wait to see the Pixel 2 in all its glory.

Hopefully they provide premium specs for the premium price they want me to pay.
I can get ip68 certified phones for cheaper. And i second that mono recording complain.
If they don't do better, nothing else to do but to wait for the Nokia flagship android phone that is supposed to come with vanilla Android anyways.

Google, for GOD's sake, enable stereo video recording in 2nd Gen(even if 1st gen because it's just a matter of software). It's hilarious to record mono audio in 2016-2017 on a phone marketed with "3 mics"(from original specs sheet from the madeby.google site) when many other companies record stereo in video.

Google might not partner with HTC again, but they lack the facilities to build it themselves. They'll have to outsource it again and I don't see how it will change anything. Nexi looked different each year because they were designed by different companies each year. Pixel is solely designed by Google (at least it's exterior).

Xdadevet, 05 Mar 2017If Google use the same iterative design (the one everyone u... moreThey won't do a an iterative design, they will clearly change a lot of things,1)just look at the Nexus line, every phone is different (ok, they were made with other companies, but you can see the idea that Google is about software, not about doing a design special for themselves like Apple, Sony, Samsung, HTC or Huawei). 2) Pixel was made with the help of HTC, Pixel 2nd Gen will be made only by Google.
