I can understand the difference of performance which may be affected by different capacities of RAM for operation (4g/6g) but I can't get how the storage memory affect the performance given they are not exhausted to extreme levels.

EDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD, 09 Mar 2017I would love to screenshot all your individual statements a... moreIn 2 or three more years, when it's time to replace a current handset, then /maybe/ apps will have become so bloated and resource hungry as to see noticeable benefit from 6+ GB. By that time a circa 2016-2017 handset with 6GB will be starting to feel sluggish, slow-charging, short-lived, and be unsupported, and outdated.

If they mention 6 gb of Ram is too much why would they make their P10 series with 6gb of ram ? It's like making a cake with plenty of strawberries and then tell your customers putting too many strawberries is pointless and increases the price of the bought cake.

I really love this article. This has showed that the fact of the fast performance not only depends on its RAM but also the resources management. and I really love the performance of my P9 since I've bought it one year now. it runs smoothly with only 3GB RAM.

Then you can tell them to sell the P10 for half the price. Oh wait there's Honor. Heck, tell Oneplus to open physical shops and service centers and continue selling their phones at that price. Seriously.

...erm, 07 Mar 2017Unless you're using it for VR, QHD is still pointless and a... moreFor QHD is useless too (full of giant pixels). 4k is minimum for good VR.
So QHD is the worse of all worlds. Too high res to make (much of) a difference compared to FHD and too low res for VR. The awkward in-betweener. Sadly it's the most popular resolution of flagships too ... I am expecting them to make the jump to 4k , the next useful resolution (since 1080p) but it doesn't seem to come. So many vendors "punish" people with that weird resolution ...

Surficial, 07 Mar 2017Why have I seen a video of a 3gb xz switching between apps ... moreBecause you have to check your eyes. All online videos show that oneplus 3 holds a lot more apps in memory, especially after the latest firmware update.
GPU ram + play services + OS + OOM ram is around 2GB and that's a feature on all phones running latest androI'd, that's minimum usage. No memory optimization in the world can make 1GB of extra free ram (2GB -> 3GB) act like 4GB of RAM (2GB to 6GB). It simply can't give birth to extra ram. It never happened , never will...

3-4-6-8 gig is matters but most important is battery capacity and battery life. Flagship phone has smaller capacity compare with midranger phone, that's so absurd and irony. We pay much money and get thin battery, I hope few vendor will bring a big battery capacity for flagship and other will follow (not sure about sony and Apple). Need big and optimize battery consume rather than EXTREME bigger RAM! 4 TO 6 is enough for this year or two.
