You buy an Iphone for the same reason you buy an S7, because of the high price tag and label and that's all the motivation people need. It's a symbol of power, of status. "Look at me, I have the highest overpriced product on the market, bow to me peasants !" For Apple products, that level of smugg is even greater than for Samsung, because Samsung buyers can get the same label on less expensive stuff, so the brand identifies in the ranks of the populus as accessable for mostly anyone. In Apple's case, the same doesn't apply.
And yes, I understand than the iOS may give people something different than the vast sea of Android present on the market, but that's no excuse to ramp up the prices. Security wise, it has been compromised a handful of times and since this was part of their marketing ad, I don't feel it's relevant anymore. As for simplicity, yes, for some part it is, but only if you work in the same enviroment. Once you try to jump in another pond, the chain around your ankle starts to pull back on you. You got to admit, that sucks in a world populated by Android devices who can communicate when you damn feel like it.
Anyway, I digress. Yes, buying an S7 when a phone can do that at a lower price is dumb, but, and this is a big BUT, you don't get the same performance from the same company on its lower end phones and neither from other big companies, which have the same marketing strategy. While you can compare, part for part, the latest Iphone with a phone 2 years older than it, you can't do the same with phones from the same company, but priced a lot differently. Even between companies, there is always a gap between slowe and faster phones. And even if you go "off-brand", you may likely buy a very well built phone for a lower price than an S7 with very good performance, but it can likely suffer from poor optimizations. Not a big problem mind you, but some people care a lot about that too. I would buy a OnePlus or Xiaomi or even a ZTE in a heartbeat if my country had dedicated service stores for those brands.
At any rate, we can spin around the subject as much as you want, but I made it very clear, in my opinion, that Apple likes to sell potatoes and pass them as raw gold nuggets.

http://ww... moreYou are both overseeing the fact that all these phone you have mentioned are running Android - so there's no real winner here. It's like comparing the clothes on two mentally challenged people to reach a conclusion on who's got the best outfit. All while they're both mentally challenged - so the way the are dressed doesn't really matter that much.
I'm using the P9 lite right now and I want to go back to Windows. Only iOS and Windows are correctly-made operating systems. First one for the non-techy users, second one for the tech savvy and business professionals that need to do actual work on their devices.

The main différences are:
- Google can not reach a tenth of the iPhone sell numbers
- Google has to give big discounts very quickly to at least keep selling a decent amount of Pixels

In my humble opinion, Apple should be forced to separate iOS software and service from iPhone hardware manufacture, allowing licensing 3rd party manufacturers to build phones using iOS.
This will benefits all of us and the entire mobile ecosystem, and prevent Apple's monopolisation.

And they definitely don't have Samsung quality build and services. No multiwindow-multitasking either which is very useful (and very important for me), let alone exclusive quality VR, does Huawei have that? How bout water resistant? No? 3.5mm port? Okay maybe they have that, only some dumb companies don't have that. But a Huawei is definitely NO WHERE NEAR a Samsung S8. :)
