First of all...all updates come directly from Microsoft...not sammy, htc..etc.
Nokia is gona be the only win7mobile manufacture to use custom skins on win7mobile devises.
What comes to android... i love my android, but im not starting to wait for an update to come out right away when its been announced...or some people starts the wait before they even bought the damn device. Were it an win7, android, symbian...etc.
If ur not happy to ur custom manufacture skin, buy an "vanilla" version...

Google needs to put its foot down on this but it seems like they are not interested in fixing this mess. I like Android but I am not blind to its weaknesses and faults.

1. Google releases an update
2. OEMs like Samsung takes months to skin/customize the new Android version.
3. OEMs passes the customized updates to the carriers which in turn put their own crap and adds a few more months
4. The update reaches the end user. It takes usually around 6 months or more after Google released the update.
By the time the update reaches the end user a new version of Android is already out and you will only get the update if the OEM decided that your device will get one. Just take a look at what happened to the SE X10. It's stuck on 2.1 because SE got lazy to make an update for it.
This is my biggest gripe with Android phones. You buy them and then that's it. You won't even know if you'll get an update or not. I've been using Android phones for like a year now and this trend doesn't appear to change soon.
Nokia and Apple are doing much better when it comes to updates.

wp7 update is directly from Microsoft, not from samsung, lg or HTC.. the update will be all send at the same time...
there is a problem on samsung tho.. that is why microsoft delay it.

Sammy sucks at updating Android. They make people have to go and flash and root their devices because they take too long. Just like what will happen with the GS2.

Will they ever be updated? WP7 is updating Sammy right away why cant Android? LololOloLol Android on Sammy is a failure. WP7 is a bigger failure but at least Sammy gets updates on time. LololoLolol

Don't like Zune. Not a big fan of WP7 but at least Sammy is getting updates on WP7 unlike on Android. lOloLolOlol Sux for Android Sammy. Lololol GS2 is real, and it will never update past the os that comes on it. LolOloLoOlol
