DxOMark ranking and scoring are like putting 100 monkeys in room, give them phone and rate it by amount of excrement you can find in that room after 2 days.

So basically it very rarely have anything to do with reality. Most of devices that I used and that had big score in DxOMark where really average, and those with average score where actually pretty nice.

I don't really trust DxO Mark. Their testing seems to be inconsistent, and their comparison chart has some really bad choices. For starters, the LG G5 is rated above the V20, despite having the same sensor, and improving the camera, they put the Moto Z Force above both the G5 and V20, despite it having a really mediocre camera (I can speak from experience), the HTC 10 has essentially the second best camera of any smartphone, despite having just a decent camera, the Xperia X Performance's camera isn't that good, so why does it have an 88, and every Samsung phone seems to have its rating inflated by a bunch. I trust Pocketnow's "Real camera review" series much more than DxO's messy ratings.
