AceShot, 11 Mar 2017Actually Mali 830MP2 in Exynos Soc is on par with Mali 860 ... more830 and 860 give 20Flops per cycle (I dislike Flops, but I'm OK if compared on same gpu manufacturers...It's crap when comparing Adreno to PowerVr or Mali for exemple)
830 is limited to mp4 and 860 to mp16...On mp2, 860 is useless...

That's the part we are agree on.

But 6750 is an entry level in 28nm...
Exynos 7870 is mid-range in 14nm...Mediatek competitor is P20

AnonD-234645, 11 Mar 2017I know. But a decent GPU from Mediatek is what I was sugges... moreThey do....
Gpu on X30 will be 2.4 time more powerfull than X20.
PowerVR cores are bigger than Mali : 1 powervr=2 Mali

It brings probably GPU 20% over Apple A9...(4 cores 800Mhz vs 6 cores 450Mhz)
And over 820. As Mediatek main goal on X30 is stability, GPU in real games will probably be even greater!

The phrase "xx nm node" means that the smallest spacing between repeated features on a chip along one direction is xx nm. It does not actually mean that transistors are now xx nm by xx nm.
Samsung and TSMC may well get out a 7nm process that is less advanced than Intel's 10nm. The fact that all of these processes are FinFET is far more important than the nm.

I dont understand how they beating Intel in the nanometer race? Intel are struggling to bring out 10nm chips, and still have 14nm out there at the moment, phone chip manufacturers seem to be doing it with not much problem

I use s6edge+ to shoot videos cuz better audio n video then iphone. Then i use imovie to edit those videos cuz best video editor. and sync it to iphone. And when i upload the videos to youtube it gets hot as hell. Iphone does open apps faster. But thats whr the good part ends. Now when i wanna go thru a lot of articles. I visit the main website n long oress n open various tabs. Upto 25-30 tabs at once. Cuz i dont like going back n again clicking on a link. I orefer that page is already loaded. I can open 35 tabs on chrome on android without any slowing down. But on iphone or ipad when i cross 10-12 the operation becomes slow. Thrs lag while switching tabs n is very annoying. N one more place whr the iphone really sucks is battery life. I rely dont know how gsmarena manages to show a decent score. But iphone normal version has the worst battery life. My brightness is always lowest setting. Only the plus models have decent battery life. I used to buy iphones only cuz of the nice build. Now luckily thr are many androids that match n even surpass it in build and feel. So i can finally break free from ios.

AzureLord, 10 Mar 2017It's just a snapdragon 821 on steroids bruh. both chipsets ... moreSnapdragon 835 is built on 10nm process while A10 is still 16nm, I see how gsmarena and other sites called it the fastest processor but A10 is a failed chip which can't handle any multi core operation. Tho they call it quad core its actually dual core as only two processors are available for benchmarks and other tasks, it's not the same big little architecture as it can show you all four cores or even 8 cores in benchmarks. Ever tried heavy operations like video uploading or editing on an iPhone. Try uploading a 10 min video on drive from an iPhone 7 and a Galaxy S6 edge which is from 2015 and you'll see the difference. Iphone turns hot like hell and almost start to sweat in uploading a 10 min video to drive. I'm sure an A10 chip can never be used to operate a phone with hardware equivalent to Galaxy S7/Note 7.
Apple is fast as it is optimised? Is it just optimised to open an app some 0.0005s faster compared to other phones?
