G2 only had to power 1080p with a 3000 mAh. Snapdragon 800 was a fantastic upgrade coming from the 600. The 800 and 801 were two of the best SoC's Qualcomm ever made because how power efficient it was and this was during the 1080p flagship standard years.
But the G2 was glossy plastic and lacked both removable battery and microSD slot. The best smartphone LG ever made were released just last year. The underrated G5 and V20. Perhaps the last two phones that will offer removable battery. I don't care for planned obsolescence just like "design."
Looks never last and those S7 edges will be just a pretty paperweight in a few years. Disposal like most Samsung products including their TV's.

LOL @ the Samsung fanboys on here. Whatever these tech review sites says is now gospel to them. Samedung sucks. Live with it.
Worst software optimization among all Android OEM's. It may not lag now but just wait. Almost like Samsung wants it that way for people to upgrade again. No different than how the TV market works when they last only 5-6 years now compared to 15-20 years back then. Then repair cost a fortune for the screen.
Curved gimmicky displays with zero advantage and mostly negatives just like their 4K TV's that are curved..
S7 edge has the worst iFixit rating among flagship phones released last year.
Samsung routinely loves to mimic Apple but then turns around and bashes their fan base.
S7 edge still stuck with USB-A.
Oversaturated displays with possible burn-in the future because OLED does not last as long as LCD.
People who buy LG might actually be smarter because we want features like FM radio and IR blaster. Hoping the V30 will retain its removable battery. That's the phone to look out for. Samsung and Apple are overpriced, overrated garbage helped sold by tech reviewers because they look prettier.
Can't wait when the smartphone market crashes in 5-10 years with these incremental nonsense of being only slightly faster or prettier than the year before. Let the smartphone revolution run its course and we move onto better technology like space travel or teleportation.

So %18 increase. Screen %8 increase. Lets say that %8 removed %8, where did the rest of the increase go? If their Screens are so inefficient then they have a serious problem!
Did anyone by the way tried calling Google saying why is Android 7 on Samsung S7 slashed so much of the battery instead of making it better? Isn't that what GSMArena should be doing as aMedia?

Hahaha 8,5 hour bat life for web ... no thank you LG, no more IR port, long battery life, fm radio, removable battery, ... no more LG for me.

The chip is the first battery hungry and then the screen so the S8 with by 40% more efficient chip and 10% bigger screen I thing it will be an efficient device.

And samsung S7 has a 92 hour endurance rating and is getting less?
Im pretty sure the higher resolution screen on the S7 edge will drain battery alot faster than some Android version being more battery efficient.

And I have had my S7 edge for a year it has no battery problems, granted it doesn't last as long but im still getting 4 hours 40 minutes or more screen on time.

Just go buy a samsung galaxy s7 edge with lower price tag, almost the same chipset capacity performance,way better battery life, way betterscreen(because its super amolen on the edge), one of the best cameraphone, also water resistant, and you get freebies too if you buy this time. This G6 just is a disappointment. With a 3300 mah battery capacity, it performs very low, as expected from LG. I'm no samsung fanboy but oh boy, how the s7 edge is way better than this 2017 phone makes me cringe and feels sad for LG they lost track of time. Its 2017 guys! Its not the midyear of 2016!
