AnonD-1227, 07 Mar 2011It's difficult to understand why Nokia don't adopt Android ... moreI find it puzzling too. They could offer Android and WP7 on their lineup just like Samsung, HTC, and LG. I'm blaming the CEO and his not so hidden agenda.

seems to me Nokia's doing what it's gotta do to trim the fat. One of those things was apparently the license management side of Qt.

We'll see whether it all pays off for them, but I agree with the below: SE is a good alliance so "Micronok" could work too.

It's difficult to understand why Nokia don't adopt Android along with Windows phone 7 like other manufacturers. Fans want it, general users want it, Nokia will have more customers and will sell more. It would have been a win win win situation. Mind puzzling.

Commercial licensing has nothing to do with Symbian development. Qt is also used to create software for PC or other embedded devices and my guess is that most of those 3500 commercial clients are using Qt for something else than mobile development. So no, this does not affect the Symbian/MeeGo developers in any way.
