Samsung Galaxy S8 to shoot 1000 fps videos

Samsung implemented DRAM in the camera itself; better iris scanner also inbound.

Perhaps later LG G7 will have 1300fps in 12MP slow motion feature, iphone 8 will have 2000fps in 8MP. Wow, it looks like a flower putting in a smaller and even smaller vase!

          I think it´s gonna be a great phone with it´s size compered to the screen, but there are four things which could be better, battery power, the lack of dual SIM model in all countries, the fingerprint scanner close to camera lens, and the last thing the lack of wireless charging with "Rezence" technology.

            I never liked Samsung phones, no matter what gimmicky tech they throw in:) I always go for an underdog, currently with Nexus 6p. I really dislike this company and its ways. I'm most certain that there are always a better option from smaller companies who delivers better value for the money:)

              And Yes they do have to keep their tech proprietry, just as sammy keeps its exynos to itself.
              S8 uses 12mpx one? Its certainly not the Sonys 19mpx dram layered specific one then. Get it?
              This rumor just doesnt add up.
              We ll have to wait and see.

              P.s. Who cares what sells better or worse. 80% of android users dont care about samsung flagships or phones.

                Knowing samsung.They know how to copy. Hopefully they won't rush the s8 and people will have peace of mind to use theur phones again.

                  So, this is either a fake rumor story just as bezeless X2 was, or Sammy infringed patent rights.
                  Or Sammy will be using 19 mpx one in S8, which is certainly not likely.
                  But Sony tends to keep its newest sensors to Xperias, so even less likely.

And I think that Sony gets much more profit out of being the biggest manufacture of mobile camera sensors than their sinking smartphone department anyway. So they have no reason to keep the best technologies for themselves if they can sell products incorporating them to more organised companies which know how to sell a phone.

If you want design and look,go for 4pple. Sammy was about performance before, but since s6 they went look over performance. But a fl4t screen even look good and is well protected.

                        Congratulations, Samsung, this surprised me, I didn't expected this year camera to have 1000fps recording like XZ Premium and the front camera to be a front dual camera with RGB sensor for iris recognition, if I understood right.

S8 and S8+ can only shoot 1,000fps Slow Motion videos, but can't do Predictive Capture like the XZs and XZ Premium, at least not that it was mentioned. That feature is far more important than Slow Motion videos. And that resolution will just suck for being only 12mp in resolution anyways

I use s-curve tpu silicone cover for good protection on the phone, even when it lands on the screen. Edge need flip or full body cover. And is not good for big hands, bc of the edges.

The only difference will be that some of what used to be a part of the bezel, with irrelevant (for video) buttons on it, will now be a part of the screen, with relevant buttons. No more tap to show the pause button and another to acutally pause.

                                        And oh... the S8 screen is 18.5:9... ;-)
