Why would Qualcomm & Samsung waste time and money to manufactured a hard and time consuming 10nm process on a SD 821 when they can do it on a new SD 835?
"Qualcomm can now manufacture 10nm processors since Samsung already helped them how to do it with the SD835."
Do you REALLY think that Samsung teaches Qualcomm on how to make a 10nm chipset? *facepalm*

Five percent better than SD835 on multicore, two percent better in single core. Which in real life performance translates to... nothing at all. In that respect both chipsets are virtually equal. GPU performance and power-efficiency will decide the winner on this mad race for the best Android chipset.

When will Samsung and Qualcomm improve their processors to match Apple's in single core performance. For now Apple keeps wiping the floor with them both.

Orson Krennic, 17 Mar 2017This video is the same YouTuber from the video that you've ... moreFirst link: Let's place it to a perspective, Samsung needed to overclock its CPU with Android 7.0 BETA just to be less than a fourth of a fraction second faster than the XZ, in which doesn't even do any tweaking to the hardware. Xperia XZ on official Android 7.0 just beats the S7 Edge Exynos in Android 7.0, and anyone who can't accept it must be an ignorant fanboy.
Second link: Yeah, pathetic RAM Management, and in the speed test you've shown, it wasn't even 30 seconds behind the whole race, not even 10 seconds when compared to Androids. Right, it's because it only has 3GB RAM which is inefficient already in Marshmallow and Nougat (Lollipop was less demanding because the Xperia Z5 Premium with 3GB of RAM kills the Note 5 with 4GB of RAM in multitasking), and it's time for the 4GB RAM race. Guess what, XZs and XZ Premium now have it. That advantage of Samsung is now gone, and add to the fact that they use the faster UFS 2.1 NAND storage (vs. eMMc 5.1 on Xperia XZ), I could just doubt the S8 and S8+ will even have an advantage over the XZ Premium in terms of performance.

Already in s7 edge the Exynos 8890 Octa surpassed in almost everything to the Snapdragon 820. While the s7 edge with Exynos 8890 Octa stays fresh the one that has Snapdragon 820 overheats. Also in Note 4 the Exynos was already superior also to the snapdragon of dragon (fire).

Telling it beyond stupid proves how little you know about it. How the hell does Samsung manufacturing 10nm processors even relate to this? Qualcomm can now manufacture 10nm processors since Samsung already helped them how to do it with the SD835.

A10 fusion chip is nothing but a fraud. It is unable to handle multi core operations which is more important, try uploading a simple 10 min video to drive on an iPhone 7 and a 2015 galaxy s6 edge side by side and you'll see how Apple will take forever while getting extremely hot. It's like a product needs 10 hours to be manufactured, one unit has 2 workers each can work 2 hours per day. another one has 8 workers each working only 1 hour per day, still the one with more workers will finish work earlier. When we have multi core processors we will be concerned about multi core performance. Apple being better in single core just has two working processors maybe it'll open apps some 0.0005 seconds faster but that's where it all ends. A very simple test will be putting an A10 chip in a S7 and S835 in Iphone 7 and then check the benchmarks to know which chip will actually perform.

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2017Until it comes to sustained performnace, multi threaded tas... moreAs much as I would love for someone to clobber Apple, it just isn't happening. Multi-core performance is nothing but a benchmark to fool people into believing their chips run fast. You have to realize a few things. Your main program code will be handled by 1 thread, you don't want multiple threads acting on code because you have no way to control execution timing. Your main code has to be completely locked down from threads changing variables or anything important that needs to be tightly controlled. So your other threads can do other miniscule jobs sure, but that's not going to give you that much of a performance boost.
Most companies have programming logic for their apps. Before the platform to code for is even chosen you have a breakdown of the entire app and its functionality etc. You also want to maintain similar code across platforms unless you are using exclusive features for that platform which would break away from the logic but be manageable as a separate entity. From my experience with many companies, iOS is the most important platform. Since single thread performs best on ios the program is written that way. If multiple threads are used they will be used on both platforms but again it will be code that will not really affect performance.

You not making any sense. The 10nm process is manufactured by Samsung. Now, you saying Qualcomm should make 10nm SD820/821. Why would Qualcomm and Samsung waste time and money making the same SD830/821 10nm chipset with lower power if they could just make SD835 in 10nm in the first place? That is beyond stupid.
