AnonD-39937, 17 Mar 2017Snapdragon 835 is already 99% a Snapdragon 820/821 on 10nm...Nope, SD820 is only a quad core chip, SD835 is an octa core chip. They're different, and Qualcomm & Samsung probably modified the transistors of the chip and is different from the ones found in the SD820

Someone Else, 17 Mar 2017Please stop. Your point doesn't make any sense. The other g... moreDidn't you even understand my freaking point? I said Qualcomm should make a lower end version of the SD835 in the form of SD820 or SD821 so that those who don't have access to the major top end flagship SoC of 2017 from Qualcomm can just use the slightly less powerful, but as efficient chip as the SD835. It's not even going to cost them a lot because once the SD835 gets available to everyone, they can just stop producing these chips or they can use it for OEMs's ultra high end mid range phone or semi-flagships.
When Qualcomm and Samsung collaborated, Qualcomm obviously learned how to make them. Samsung helped Qualcomm to make the 14nm SD820, and now Qualcomm learned it and manufactured the 14nm SD625 themselves without Samsung's help, and this is basically the same damn thing. You are saying it's stupid without even thinking about it

DWarfs!?
Funny thing to say, especially when it comes from one "professional" tech site...
Off,course we all know that you are payed by Sammy, just like by Apple too...so it's no wonder that you are spitting to everyone else, but this state is under every level.

Mediocre scores considering that only the jump from 14nm to 10nm gives 25% better performance or 40% less consumption. But I hope this means that the battery life will be stellar in comparison with Snapdragon 820.

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2017Are you seriously so incapable of comprehending that or are... moreThen how about proving to me that it's wrong with scientific explanations instead of whining against me without any liable proof of your argument against me? I already said Qualcomm can just make a SD820 / SD821 with 10nm fabrication so that those who can't access the major flagship SoC from Qualcomm can just use a slightly less powerful, but as efficient one in flagships of Q1 2017 since SD820 and SD821 are still extremely good even today. Now prove to me that Qualcomm can't do that, because technically speaking, SD820 and SD821 only have 4 cores compared to the 8 cores of the SD835, so making the two even smaller in size would not be impossible.

I don't understand why Sony's fanboys behave as if they are more intellectual than others. Some form theories against bezel less phone and some say about thumb issues one will get while using bezel less phones, which ironically no one ever faced in reality and one boasted about the glass used in their products being more durable than the ones on other brands. Sony should be really proud of their fans who are more intelligent than their own engineers.

I called you a KID for how you acted with your comment upon me. Seriously, is that how you treat people in real life? Wait, I was wrong, you don't actually have a life. My bad, I'm speaking to something that doesn't even exist, that's creepy

Exynos 8895 is barely 10% better than last year's ... it's not a beast. It's the lowest YoY gain ever posted by Samsung.

Single slowest year in mobile CPUs since the start of the smartphone race over 10 years ago.
Best SoC from last year to Best Soc from this year is barely 10% difference. It used to be 30-40% year after year.
It goes to show that Moore's law has its limits and that we're nearing a long winter where new devices are not better than last year's. I wonder how economies would adjust to this.
Chilling results ... as we all know human societies do not bode well with stagnation, they soon after descend into downwards spirals when stagnation comes. Let's hope what we see this year won't continue...

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2017And your proof is where? like I need a proof for something so obvious , go ahead and see for yourself how crappy is performance of Mali GPU compared to Adreno http://kyokojap.myweb.hinet.net/gpu_gflops/ and how do I know that G-71 is totally inefficient ? from anandtech ... Adreno 530 uses less than half the power while giving better performance in same workload . G-71 is a battery hog and especially in gaming .
