Galaxy S8 and S8+ to be even more expensive than previously thought

23 March 2017
This will be the situation in at least one Eurozone country, unfortunately.

Ok, if Apple can charge you 800 USD for their rubbish phones, Samsung should actually charge you 1500-2000 USD!
The best phone should be the most expensive!
So I would say today 1500 USD for S7 edge, 2000 USD for S8 would be most appropriate pricing!!!

And if yout think that would be too expensive, think again!

The average wages are around 3500 USD/month in the US. So the average person can buy these phones in the US for the salary of his one working week.
(There are many areas in the US, where people's salary is around 100.000 USD/year. For those people it's 2 days of work.)

There are sh.tholes in the world, where it costs much more in working days.
Randomly: for example Russia. The average monthly wages are around 390 USD there. Two years ago their currency blew up, and now last month people got a 30% bump in their salary, so they won't die of famine. So now it's about 510 USD. So until now they had to work 57 days for a phone like this, now it's 44 days.
So it's exactly the same, as if a person in the US should pay 6650 USD (Yes: Six thousand, six hundred and fifty) for the phone (or 5130 USD).

Would you give 6000 USD for a phone? Because that's the reality for people in many countries. To get a high-end phone, they have to work for months.

You take the phone from out of your pocket and as you hold it and turn it on as you would any other phone, it does the scan at that distance from your face. It is very intuitive and ergonomically calibrated. I think you will find it is easier than you image.

I swapped with her and switch OS to AOSP so I can use the Int mem and SD card together via Android 7.0 storage manager, so I do not waste the phones I have had.

Others are willing to pay the premium to go that last extra mile to get better than "It will do the job", take a picture, listen to a song or two, over having great pictures and a much deeper sound stage and a brighter, cleaner audio experience and knowing that the device will handle any game or ap that comes along in the next two years, where some devices might start to be less than stellar by the time your thinking to replace it. Flagships are all getting every last bit in a phone you can at the best quality that we can produce. Irrespective of if the quality gap vs the mid ranger alternative.
