The Galaxy S8 and S8+ reportedly use either a Sony IMX333 or an ISOCELL sensor.

And the Sony sensor proved to be superior in most cases. I got to try both Sony and ISOCELL sensors due to camera replacement on my S6, and Sony looks sharper while ISOCELL has better white balance on S6, at least. Not sure if it's the same for S7 and other later models though.

No matter which sensor it use, Samsung image processing is unmatched and that makes S8 the best camera phone in the world.

So, the picture quality taken by S8 and G6 will be very close? Just seeing camera comparison on youtube....

So the pictures from either camera should ultimately be the same - "no need to worry." -> a thorough review of two sensors should be conducted for verification
