Sony Xperia XA1 goes on sale, Hong Kong gets it first

Guys, please stop bashing on the Xperia XA1's MediaTek Helio P20. It's a 16nm processor so battery life should not be much of a problem (at least better than last year). And it extremely equals, if not tops, the Snapdragon 625's performance in benchmarks. I know this can be a lot to take but it's true. And the Snapdragon 625 runs on 1080p phones only (at least for now). So we can expect the Xperia XA1 to fly with its 720p screen.
And finally, GSMArena's review of last year's Sony Xperia XA states that Sony "nailed the processor", which was a MediaTek Helio P10 that time. "Battery life is only where the Xperia XA missed", again stated by the reviewer when the processor was based on an inefficient 28nm process. Superb in all aspects and much better design than others with their childish looks like Samsung or others.

I agree their design software and cameras are good but they need to improve every other thing including marketing

Add $80 and you can have last year's flagship products. Which will get you at least one year of major updates and better every possible thing.
Don't mind the fanboys, they hardly buy any Xperia phone anyway.

Well, are t... moreI'm laughing because you are assuming that it's easy to - take the phone out of pocket. - move the hands of that guy without waking him up and then put the correct finger which is recognized by the device since user may not have savedall his 10 fingers. The user might be dead in that case. Also tracing fingerprint from phone is the next best hillarious stuff. You require a professional setup for that. Guessing password would probably be easier since 1234 is like most used password out there. Coming to battery they use batteries from Sony or some other reputed manufacturers. If they were so bad then that companies reputation goes downhill. I agree that the battery doesn't maintain it's capacity for full time. But you are saying Sony defies laws of physics? Batteries are bound to degrade. Mi will degrade bit faster ( a reminder that battery is from Sony itself) but Sony itself has less to Begin with

You want value then buy xiaomi, the camera lens will gives incentives to sony. Xiaomi and Sony both my favorites brand. I hopes they merged. Xa1 is a sleek phone not targeting the ordinary market. Sony sell intelligence for people who buy innovations.

Does their battery hold their maximum capacity for a long time? Because as I know, Sony's Qnovo Charging protects the battery from degrading its capacity, which means the 72h endurance rating of a Sony phone would still be 72h after 2 years, which we can't say for Xiaomi unfortunately. 110h? Good, now how long will that last? Rather have that 54h for 2 years than from 110h to 40h in 2 years. And I'm not trying to defend anything, I praise Xiaomi for good battery lives, but retaining that good battery life is more important than being phenomenal at the start but being trash at the end.
You're laughing at that stamement, but unfortunately it's true. What about when you're sleeping? A simple body contact could easily unlock your phone. Or the fingerprints that you leave on your phone can be traced by thieves and use it to unlock your phone, are you still living under the rock? Security technology advances, and so does bribery technology.
I prefer Knock Code of LG because you can do a hell lot of unlimited patterns and your phone's gonna be mocked before the thief could even unlock it.
