When it is just as an option, it is okay, but i 100% hope that they will keep it, because it is much much better with the app drawer. But as i said, if it is just an option that you can switch, its okay.

Wait, I believe you luckily still have the app drawer, you just swipe to get it instead of pressing a button? It doesn't turn your homescreen into a mess.

It actually lets you hide the app drawer and swipe up or down on the screen to access all apps OR you can have them all displayed

Less lag and some of the features were unique, like phone manager app. However, if you want to experience Android at its best, there can be only Cyanogen, or whatever it's called now. TouchWiz is horrible compared to it and it's not called LagWiz for no reason.

I like the swipe up apps tray. Looks cleaner. Hideable. Very much like Pixel launcher.

It doesn't say anything about your apps still being in the app drawer, but without the button...

Get your facts right before posting. For a moment i thought this is some April fool's day joke.
If u hide the apps button, u can open the app drawer by swiping up. And not flat iPhone likey.

You have a P9 Lite which is mostly mid-range than high end...though it's high end compared to most mid-range phones. Nevertheless, to best way to judge the OS is using it on the trendsetter, The Galaxy S series.

I rarely ever have a need to have it at half brightness or even quarter brightness. If I'm outdoors I usually let auto brightness take over. At nights or when it's dark it's usually at the absolute minimum and trust me that goes so easy on my eyes I easily fall asleep while using my phone. My Galaxy S is superb.

Please research. The option is to show the app drawer icon. If you hide it, which is the default option, the way to bring it up is by a swipe up. It does not put all your apps on home screen. That optionwas removed with Nougat.

... moreNo, not kidding. I've switched from a Lumia 925 (Win 8.1) to the P9 lite and there are a lot of things missing, along with some other customization options that are either not available or are badly implemented.
Email apps are almost unusable when dealing with long email chains (rendering issues, scrolling issues, long loading times), sync is either push or on a set amount of time, which drains the battery or does not update on a timely manner. Windows phones learn how and when you use email and, for example, set push emails during daytime and only check for new messages once per hour (or even slower) during night time.
Memory management makes the phone reload apps on 3GB of ram more often than what I had on 1GB.
If you close one app, you have a chance that it won't update unless you open it again.
Battery saver is nowhere near the usability of Windows, and has almost no features compared to Windows phones.
Calendar sync with Microsoft Office sometimes doesn't work.
There are no unread badges for all apps installed.
Not all apps offer widgets, and out of those who do, most of them look like they were designed by beginners. Thus, I have to open apps in order to see what's going on.
Icons don't follow the same theme, and even if you install custom icon packs, there's no support for all apps in the store.
Volume control makes a 'beep' on each level. It's unnecessary, especially when you are in a quiet environment like an office.
Notification sounds mute everything else.
There's no music equaliser in settings.
There's no dark theme.
Keyboard is under-developed and looks cluttered compared to the Windows one.
There is no font size consistency across the UI. Some text is too big, other text is too small, all on the same screen, making everything look like it was designed by beginners.
Homescreen lags when having a few browser tabs, whatsapp, and email open.
Youtube does not play under lock screen or when switching to other apps.
And many other "features" that I don't remember right now.

LG's UI is hideous. Samsung's Grace UX is much prettier, cleaner and more consistent.
