nokia n95 is way way better..
n95 has a 5 megapixel camera and vga recording with 30 fps. It has an integrated gps receiver, browsing on it is also very well made. its not as heavy as iphone (120g). and ofc it has hsdpa 3g, A2DP support and son on...
i just don't get it why ppl are so impressed about this iphone besides its "inovative design"...(look at LG prada)

If the actual price is $500 and $600, i am sure Nokia, Sony, iMate... all companies will close down in Dubai. All the best!

Regarding Cisco suing for TM infringment - they (cisco) appear to be in a difficult possition regarding this and it is unlikely to have any impact on the iphone. Its all there - do a google search and dispell the rumours for yourself.

the 1st iphone is indeed "something else" the design concept is super, a phone with class definitely it will make success on the market though its not a 3G technology.

There are actually other HSDPA phones already out, besides the N95. Samsung launched the first one in September of 2006. And by ITU definitions, HSDPA can actually still be considered a 3G technology. Either way, we still use "3G/HSDPA" to refer to the higher-bandwidth bearers, in the same way we use "GPRS/EDGE" without implying that GPRS and EDGE are the same thing.

Funny that the iPhone is obviously designed to be a multimedia device -- music (I'm guessing there should be a way to download to the iPhone directly from iTunes), internet browsing, even Google maps -- but the radio bearers (GPRS/EDGE) are slow. I'm not sure how smooth the multimedia experience will be with the lower bandwidth.

where are the keys for this, is this all touch screen? this is a waste of money, it is only tops 8gb for music photos and a bunch of other things it comes with, not enough memory

Funny to see how people here confuse 3G with HSDPA. Kids, read some more because you are misinformed. At the moment, the only HSDPA phone that will hit the market any time soon is N95. 3G is one thing and HSDPA (3,5G) is something else.

Both LG and CISCO to sue Apple for theft :P.

yeh, lets all slag it off before we see it, well done expert (and the rest) - certainly a bit of ground breaking insight from you. I see you have broken the mould from the majority of other forums and decided to moan with no basis - how original.

its a very good device from d looks and functions. adequate memory. the release dates are too far though. the suspense is gonna kill. But it was a nice move by Apple. wonder what microsoft's response will be.

Nice to see a company taking a different route with a a mobile media device rather than the same old stuff. Whether it works as well as a 'normal' phone in the real world remains to be seen, the touch screen is bound to have some disadvantages and when it is finally released the 2 meg' camera will be rather under spec I imagine. However, this is the first phone I have really wanted in ages; gadget fever!!!!
