Huawei has sold 5 million Mate 9 units in the first four months

For the first time, the company has given an update on sales of its latest Mate-series flagship.

I have heard the LCD on Mate 9 is awful.

    By far best selling huawei in my country is honor 8, i think its because it looks like Samsung high end phone but with lot cheaper price task. Honor 8 here stole S7 sales.

    Also Huawei gained their brand before they had any leica models available.

    I think their marketing went great and also they had lot of great luck.

      They did something right about the cameras. Many good phones are well-designed and have solid build quality but let down by the camera. For the P9, the design complemented the camera features and it worked.

The result of that is to sell more and gain declined profits year after year. This is a pathetic strategy. I give all the rewards to Apple.

              AnonD-1825, 12 Apr 2017I wonder what huawei did right to gain this brand name, for... moreThe strategy which huawei used was quite clever it started selling budget phones with good design specs and build quality at cheap rates and slowly jumped it's way up the ladder by increasing prices but also keeping that performance factor with great build quality i have been a user of huawei for 4 years now and it's still running fine no problems at all apart from that which come from age
              I think huawei will soon surpass Samsung and apple and will be top in the near future

                  Pro is great phone, except it's design a copy of Sammy's S7Edge.
                  but, P10 is something that could be fun...since s8 have only edge version, and it will be very shattery....so all who likes to have their phones whole, can opt for p10 or G6, which is expected to come with standard lg boot loop feature, so even with better overall design it is second choice.

                      I wonder what huawei did right to gain this brand name, for unknown company it's almost impossible in very saturated phone market and usually people choose known brands.

                      Yet somehow people started to buy these unknown huawei phones and their sales are growing and growing and huawei in my country outsold samsung and became number one company last year, which is amazing achiviement for such company.
