But that has less to do with the SoC and more with the fact that OP 3T has 6GB of ram which is pretty much what dominates those tests (ram retention)

Still gonna hold on to my Le Pro 3 as the top dog of 2016. Even cheaper and better than OP3T. They should have made SD835 2x3Ghz + 2x2.4Ghz clusters and call it a day instead of this crippled configuration.

the snapdragon has always the best gpus in android devices. also their cpus are just as good as the others. proven by such manufacturers like htc with htc 10 and one plus one. so why samsung hoggs all the snapdragon 835 chipsets when they suck at optimising qualcomm chipsets??

Even though the iphone 7 plus is still faster than the galaxy s8. Even though the s8 is built on 10nm chipset yet the iphone is on 14 nm and still faster hmmm.......

Theoretically,
the 8895 is capable of recording 4K@120 videos
the 835 is capable of recording 4K@30 videos.
Because both variants (8895 and 835) of the S8/S8+ can only record 4K@30 videos, we can conclude that Samsung caps the capability of the 8895 by software! It restricts it!
And that's a pity! Just because of 835's inferiority!

The most important tests will be battery and audio quality comparisons. In both, the Exynos was significantly better last year. It'll be interesting to see if anything changed. I'm expecting the battery to be similar, but Exynos being better audio-wise because Samsung uses Cirrus logic/Wolfson DACs with their chipsets, while using Qualcomms stock chips with Snapdragons. On the other hand, the SD835 features the Aqstic chip (HTC 10, Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Samsung's own Note7) which has really good reviews. So it'll be an interesting comparison.
