One good news for the S8. The Verizon and AT&T ones won't have anymore tramp stamps. Their hideous logo is no longer on the back. No checkmarks or Death Star. I got the T-Mobile S7 edge and Sprint G5 and never got that anyway. T-Mo and Sprint stopped doing that since the HTC One M7 days or prior.

Next in line should be to remove the carrier boot animations, bloat, and offer an unlocked bootloader. I may consider sticking to Verizon for now on over T-Mo. Their network is far stronger, their phones are unlocked, and nomore rear carrier logos at least for iPhones, Pixels, and now Galaxies.

Too bad S8 is only semi-interesting to me. Not to be short-sighted like the rest of you fawning over this S8 design, but some people believe Note8 and S9 will correct some of the mistakes brought out by this S8. Rock with the tock. Note8 might actually have an interesting camera(s), bigger battery, better screen, and 6gb RAM minimum.

The thing is that on every application thinkable, the Iphone will always come out ahead because developers are providing a uniform experience on a platform with very different mileages, thus allowing them to produce superior application stability on the closed system.

Android will not catchup unless everyone starts getting Nougat and future Android O (Oreo or whatever it may be), but thats something Google doesnt seem to care and will use the Pixel word to disrupt that possibility of ascending Android to absolute unification and performance.

It is possible, but it takes a lot of work and many companies, thanks to retarded traditions and business greed, will always refure to accept such a major overhaul of Android. Its sad, but theres nothing anyone can do other than getting a really clean phone like the OnePlus made phone or a Google Pixel for the blazing fast experience we expect of our phones.

Androids have caught up with iPhone. I agree, in general Apple's optimisation is superb, but their UX is awful in comparison to Android on LG, Samsung, HTC and Motorola phones. (I don't like Google's pure Android, find it annoying and fiddly.)

TouchWhiz is now very well thought out and fast. If it wasn't for the fact I'm waiting for the Note8 because I like a stylus (although my Note5 is good enough to be honest), I would get the S8+. I got to play with one and it's awesome.

Uday, 20 Apr 2017Then go for iphone for the same prize and get the features ... moreAnother lie. It has the best soc, some of the best cameras, awesome battery life (it never loses battery while in standby) and its screen is above 300ppi (which is what matters to sharpness)yet not overly so so that to harm gaming (I'm looking at you needless QHD phones that pretty much have the same sharpness yet your framer ate sucks).

It's a balanced phone and overpowered where it matters. In fact it's SoC won't be surpassed for this year, and probably not for the next either. That's how good their swift cores are.

IPHONES uses to be underpowered, not anymore. It's Qualcomm that dropped the ball, it's there where you should direct your rage.

BUT you will still be dealing with palm rejection because it is near bezel-less on the sides. You will still be dealing with a stupid fingerprint scanner placement. You will still see black bars from its awkward aspect ratio.

Go in denial and enjoy your S8+ or whatever. Then start complaining about it later once your honeymoon phase is over. It's NOT even a good-looking phone to me. The HTC One M7 and M8 look better than it. The Galaxy Nexus that they manufactured looks better than it. Glass rears again? The S7 edge looks far more proportionate than it too. Once the screen is off, it looks like any other black slab phone like the jet black iPhone 7. Why only black front options?

I can easily get an S8 since I got the S7 edge so damn cheap. But there is too many deal breakers with the S8. It's just a LG G2 ripoff with a curved display. Mostly has the S7 internals. And now Samsung is rumored to copy LG and Apple with the extra lens capabilities. Monkey see, monkey do. Pixel user for life. Way better software. LG has comparable hardware to Samsung. Not one duo can match my Pixel / G5 duo. Not an iPhone 7+ / S8. I get the best all-around hardware features from LG with the software brilliance of the Pixel.

Samsung and Apple are for insecure hipsters.

Iphones having a high resell value is a double edged sword. Its good when you sell your device but when you want to buy one it isn't.

Is there anyone here who can tell me what special thing this s8+ has over s7 edge that deserves to have some tripe price or more?

Savor , 20 Apr 2017Because palm rejection while typing is so awesome! On the S7 edge they released an update which fixs that issue.

Also the S8 and S8 Plus edge displays are much subtle than the previous generations. But then I expect you wouldn't know that some people just spout rubbish instead of facts ;)

Normally when this happens everyone starts saying its all fake its done to build up hype.

Well guess not this time shows they being honest about it.
