[deleted post]People who pre-order phones or buy phones close to their launch time are the beta testers. They pay premium price to become early users. And at the same time they get ripped off, because the price of phones significantly go down 0.5 - 1 year after their launch. Also, don't forget the fact that old flagship phones are always better than new midrangers.

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2017LOL. They fix the harware issue by "cheating" its software.Nope. The problem is expected to be solved with the software upgrade since the problem does not appear to come from hardware. You probably had seen a video from Samsung Display. They introduce new display tech called Vision Aid. It increases red color supposedly helping colorblind users. It might be the one used in S8.

The red tint may come from a software glitch. It seems there was a problem in the software in setting the color balance. The upgrade next week is to expand the color range so that users can make the red color even lower. There will also be an additional update to make color revisions more minutely or detailed at the end of April.

It's confirmed to be a software issue and can be done in every phone by changing settings. People reporting this issue also know that they did it in settings. But after the update it won't be possible to set it on this level.

I'm waiting and assessing the issues one by one before embarking on this investment which gets more costly with each new iteration.

If it was software issue then it should be present in all units because same software is supposed to be used in all units.
