After so many Chinese companies flooded the market with their sub-par phones which can't even work properly for one year at least, i was just thinking like that. If you want iOS go Apple's way or if you want Android then you got to choose from only the above said manufacturers which can produce high quality hardware to go with their software.

i think samsung learned a lesson or two from the current S8 launch. LG will always screw up their flagship launch so samsung can take as much time as they want to release their flagships. Also, people has bad memory and they don't care about a huge screw up like note7 as long as the next flagship has the marketing and word of mouth.

S8/S8+ are good phones overall. However they are not perfect like a full square screen. Samsung needs to perfect the rounded edges of the screen display because they are not smooth. Screen displays still need more work done on them. Take a closer look on the rounded edges, tilting the S8 each way and you'll see.

Savor, 24 Apr 2017GOAT Nah. Pixel is still better. You took it a little too far. Even with Pixel's hardware problems I won't put both phones on same page. If software is concerned, then yeah bring something like OnePlus 3 to comparison. Only for the S8 to get obliterated obviously, needless to mention anyway. But whatever Samsung fans already are crying inside, though some are way too dull to even understand and process what's being talked about, so let's leave them at their peace, or whatever.

I still have to tip my hat off to Samsung. They rebounded really quickly. Note7 debacle seems all is forgiven. Didn't tarnish their brand at all after only six months.
I still will never care about their jank software skin and curved displays though. People buying this phone is for the short-sighted with smooth software experience. A Nexus 5 can still run smoother than a S8 after four years. That hideous lag will eventually pop up eventually after a few system updates and clearing cache partition won't always solve it.
All these OEMs using their own flavor is simply a copy and paste job from Google's hard work. Redundancy. Why need Samsung Pay when we had Google Wallet which became Android Pay? Why do we need Bixby when we have Google Assistant? So pointless and just kills the internal storage available just to differentiate. Bloat after bloat.
Stop the mooching from a free OS to use or keep it close to stock like what Nokia will do. Samsung's ego is too big though. Putting a skin on Android is like condom sex. No feeling, kids! Raw doggin' it bareback is the only way to fly! Pure Android is the only way to experience it. Not these ugly filters from other OEMs.

It's like asking Google to shoot themselves in the foot, as this kind of costumization capabilities is what brought phone makers to Google in the first place and helped them to spread Android worldwide
The minute Google imposes such tight restrictions is the moment when ex. Samsung waves goodbyes and switches on the spot to Tizen forever (and will also make Apple 10 times stronger than they already are).
Also, bare in mind that phone makers are already paying royalties to Google for Android, so any further charges would piss off all of its big 'partners' (Samsung, SONY, LG, HYC, Huawei, etc.) to the point of catastrophical reprocussions.
