No company invents all of the technologies and features it incorporates in its devices. But Samsung is undoubtedly the current leader and biggest innovator in mobile technology. For those things that it did not invent or just copied from others, Samsung surpasses them. Sony doesn't even have half of what Touchwiz can do. Even stock Android will not have in 5 years what Touchwiz can do today. It would take several pages to enumerate all the advanced features of Touchwiz and ain't nobody got time for that. I just feel bad for those who are paying premium price but missing out big time on the best technology out right now by choosing the overpriced, underpowered, crippled smartphones, basically a non-Samsung flagship smartphone.

Like batterycare.... so battery doesnt blow up, and lasts longer.
Or rgb setting.... so S8 users could remedy the red tint fault.
Or stamina modality... so touchwizz would last you more than a day.
Heck, even face recognition has been in Sonys UI for ages now.
Not to talk about sound options, actually working usb sound output and rest of stuff tchwizz is lacking... things you can not just download from app store
But as long as tchwizz has 1 more security option, ( most practical one seriously crippled with position of fp scan now) , and heartrate sensor(any phone has it by app download) and 6 res video rec options, and samsungpay( google pay says hello), I guess...
with all things copied and stuff, t is more feature rich in someones eyes.

But as a digital full frame camera manufacturer, they need to stand out to the rest in photography like Nokia did with Nokia 808 PureView and Lumia 1020 did. 1/2" would be appreciated as well. To me it doesn't matter if it'll make the phone about 8.5mm thick if it means we'll get larger camera sensors and better cameras, as well as larger battery and no camera bump either.
F1.0 would not be bad as there's the RGBC-IR sensor to compensate for the pale looking colors to be true-to-life. It'll gather too much light, but it also means the phone can use lower ISO to reduce greater amount of noise. Even then, the XZs actually uses a very low ISO already - 40 ISO vs 50 (S8) vs 64 (G6).
OIS+EIS combination would be killer. OIS for photography and EIS for video would be a true monster.
