How do you use your phone? We are determined to find out

A large part of our job as phone reviewers involves judging of whether a particular compromise made by the designers is beneficial to the handset's target audience or not. To do this properly we rely...

I need my phone to not run out of power. Better battery life is something that you need to emphasise more in your reviews. I want the manufacturers to take notice when designing future phones. I can live with a larger and heavier device.

Sorry for my bad englis, but I think it's relevant here:
For me it's important, how the other side of the phone can hear me. I mean the Microphone quality. For example: I've bought an LG GW620, where the review does not say anything about this section of the phone, but my girlfriend and other contacts were complaining about the weak sound of my normal voice... With my N82 there was no problem of my volume. This could be a dealbreaker for me, because what is a phone good for, if the main purpose(making calls) does not work.

            Also important:
            - reliability (how many time did the phone freeze during the testing)
            - everyday usage experiences (not just the left-right flicking of the screen, and doing benchmarks)

                        seems a pretty comprehensive list.

If pushed I'd say; maybe add mobile TV to your watch section (BBC iplayer, Sky player etc..). Unless, of course, you were including that in the on line video (you tube etc) bit.

Also maybe a section on shopping/online banking (paypal, ebay etc).

This survey idea is very good, since smartphones today are everything but phones.
But I think it would be a addition to this poll to include some sort of gradation. Lets say grades 0, 1 or 2. Meaning, 0 - don't use it, 1 - use it rarely, 2 - use it daily/regulary. For example, I have set up a facebook account in my facebook app on my smartphone, but although I use facebook moderately(on a PC), I use it through my phone once a week or less.

I think we must dont forget about original phone functions.

1)Phone must have storng signal even in weak areas (constractions and designs wich may result low signal is inappropriate for lead mobile phone companys)

2)In call sound must be loud and clear and phone mic must work proper for best experience of both caller and call recivers. listening music thru speaker maybe not so important for many people but incall quality thru loudspeaker must be high.

3)As new smartphones comes with diferent multimedia they must have good battery life (i remember my old phones i can use them for week, ok with smartphones its diferent story but they must work atleast 2 days with strong useage on single charge)

How do you use your phone:
                                - when making voice call: use handsfree/ earpiece/ speaker phone / car's speakers (when driving)

Making calls for me is secondary I use my mobile for SMS,email and lots of web browsing. Then apps that I have installed which include games and information oriented apps. Then comes the turn of social networking I use Facebook app and MSN. One thing that I have observed in your reviews is you do not discuss much about email setup is easy or not. I might be wrong but this is my personal observation.
