Sony to manufacture iPhone 5 camera, 8MP all but certain

Has anyone actually taken a photograph with the iPhone 4 camera and thought it wasn't clear enough? The 5mp camera is amazing quality and more tha sufficient for use on a mobile phone.
But, is there really much more Apple can do hardware wise with the phone (not counting obvious processor/GFX speeds)?

This means the Sony Ericsson Arc/Neo camera will probably be on the iphone 5. What a fantastic camera, but not 1080p, if you need that.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 will be better that I4, when Apple make the I5 Samsung will make another Galaxy which should also be better.

8mp camera? Larger Retina Screen? Faster processor and gfx chip?
I can honestly see iphone 5 becoming a better phone than the Galaxy S 2. The Galaxy offers about the same improvements. Same with the HTC desire, and we don't even have the specs for the new iphone yet.
If I was Apple, i'd have the above improvements, but try and fit in a larger battery. It was bad enough before touchscreen dominated, with the top phones lasting less than a day with moderate use. Android is a hardware hog, whilst iOS uses too much energy on its display.

Yeah right..Sony gives the edge to Iphone with its tech and what about their brand of Sony ericsson...unless they have somthing better lurking .Anyway who cares...a phone is a phone even if you put a 20 mpx camera on it the quality of a camera only device will be always better.

personally i think 12/16/18 megapixals is a bit overkill pixals dont make a good picture its the lense it does make big picture files tho
im happy with 5mp nicer lense would be nice tho
what i would like i decent pics not too big in file size so we can start having a decent cloud photo syncing service a bit like how gmail does its contacts on my iphone/ipad
would be nice to take a pic and it auto syncs over the air with my pc and ipad. with maybe a bit of folder organization

an 8mp camera is great news, and from SE too. The haters still spout their lies i see. No doubt the anti apple blog will be criticising this improvement. The haters are just sad losers.

I would never buy a phone that shows such small improvements compared to the last version while still being one of the most expensive phones on the market. If I want Apples I'll buy the fruit, these phones are way overpriced and have been for over 2 years.

Whoever said Sony cares about its customers is saying Apple cares for its customers. NO corporation actually cares for its customers, if they would care they would go out of bussines, simple as that! In modern capitalist world the marketing department's priority is to make customer miserable with its current product and craving for the latest offerings from the company. If you really think any corporation cares about you, you're just putting sand in your eyes.

its upgrade for x10 to 2.3 is kinda killing its new lineup market
& now it provide its camera module to manufacture iPhone 5 is totally killing its own market as well as other markets!
