Anonymous, 01 May 2017Its very sad news as usualYeah, sad news for other manufacturers who can't sell 55 million units of all their products combined in one year like Sony.

Great milestone, so big congrats to Samsung (S7/Edge). Now let's see with the S8/+ what it will happen. Samsung's plan is to beat that as well, but let's see. And even more with the Note 8 as an aftermath of the big tsunami. But for now absolutely great job to them.

Aadrian, 01 May 2017Nokia 1100 sold 250 million times. Those phones were not really hard to sell because they costed only less than 50 dollars. Samsung sold 55 million units of a 800-dollar smartphone.

The best smartphone of 2016. Samsung could release S7 this year instead and would still be better than most other smartphones released so far this year.

And they should rise even more in the following months, since the S7's price will go down.
