When u say symbian u can identify Nokia in it - their own OS
But when you say Android.. what? HTC, Samsung,LG etc - not their own OS. No identity - borrowing OS from other company.
It's just right that Android-powered phones should sell because part of their sales will go to the company who made Android
It's also ok if Symbian doesn't sell much (in US and Europe alone because SYmbian is still Number 1 worldwide) because all of their sales will go straight into their own pocket.
So there's no need for Nokia haters to bash around. Better tell your phone manufacturer to make their own OS, get their own identity and go head to head with Nokia phones.
I still prefer Symbian anytime - anyday. Nokia lived up to their promise of User Friendly handsets and up to now, they didnt fail to do that. Nokia is still the best, straight forward and user friendly ^_^

[deleted post]Common sense!!! What common sense? Trolling and bashing the same company again and again all i see in the people. Now that is complete hypocrisy and lunatic. What people spend their hard earned money is their on right, now nokia is not forcing you to buy their symbian phone if you don't want to. So what are you now saint or priest? Tell people which phone they will buy or not with their hard earned money and then troll or bash at a company. Disrespect is the word i find in here pal. Learn to talk and learn to respect bro it will help you on your life in many ways..

It is very easy to bad-mouthing against something, but the toughest part is when you have to pin point the "bad", "weak" or "missing" things with the way to "correct" or to find out the actual reasons that cause all the trouble, and that is not everyone's cup of tea. Gladly this is one of the things that I do for living.
I have picked Nokia N8 about a week back, and I have been taking notes and lists for the missings. Right now I am in position to say I know the "only" missing thing in Symbian^3 and it is not the UI, it is not the OS itself, it is simply the user's experience.
I want Symbian to get back up and I am compiling my study and I am hoping to have support from Symbian users once I will finish it. I am only waiting for the next update so I will be sure I am not over stepping anything. Looking forward for the 12th as well.

New symbian devices announcement,PR 2.0 and sneak peak of PR 3.0. All related symbian offcourse, becoz this is symbian event not windowsphone. Nokia will put symbian as mid to low end devices while windows as the high end devices only, and meego phone will be another experiment phone like n900 which is made only for geeks.

Rip, 06 Apr 2011Nokia trying to steer some attention away from HTC??? With ... moreAnd they certanly WILL. HTC is simply nothing compared to Nokia, and Nokia devices bring MUCH more interest than HTC phones. Nokia is at least 10x times bigger than HTC. lol
I'm sorry HTC Fanboy/Symbian hater, but that's the truth.

Aaron, 06 Apr 2011It's PR2.0 and Nokia N8-01, with 1GHz processor, qHD screen... morewhy not provide the source up here?
any how. 1Ghz processor is considered low compared to lots of samsung and lg and even iphone5 lanching soon.
unless is compatible to android apps. if not, people will doubt buying nokia phone.
lg, samsung, or even htc and sony ericsson and the price always stay high motorola will be a better consideration for consumer.

Could you people please update the X6? Why does it have to be always Symbian^3? Are they ignoring us Symbian 5th Edition users? Hello!

Was, 06 Apr 2011I think that Nokia is taking away the focus from HTC. Becau... morei think so as well cause the Qt based revamped UI is a winner then android is screwed and Wp7 wont even be really looked upon at nokia since symbianOS will be greatly noticed again

I think that Nokia is taking away the focus from HTC. Because, if Symbian has announced really big changes on O.S, we had noticed in somewhere.
And Nokia feels so lost now, trying to rescue Symbian and the same time show big changes with WP7. And the same time, recusing the invitation of Android.
