Last year's flagships are better than 2017's.
Proud owner of both the G5 and V20, the last flagships to offer removable battery. If I see an iPhone 6s or SE, I will gladly pick them up since they aren't jack-less.
Lack of headphone jack
Glass rears
Bezel-less sides
Curved displays
Sealed batteries
No IR blaster
No FM radio
No thanks!
You can have your future. The 2014-2016 models will hold up fine for the next decade. Just treat it like a desktop PC, television set, or automobiles. Do you really need to upgrade every two years? Hell no. Just be content at what you have. The performance within the last couple of years is negligible these days.

People are really stupid. Posting comments about who copies or what. Can't you understand about trends on technology?
Its like you are asking Sony or Samsung to stop making flat screen TV and instead make oval shape TV because LG is making flat screen TV..LOL
Or why don't you try to rant on Ducati because they follows Harley Davidson making 2 wheels motorcycle, try ask them making 6 wheel's. LOL
Are you all stupid? Haha LMAO

AnonD-664474, 05 May 2017And on their Facebook ad, they made fun of Apple ditching t... moreIf you were a true audiophile you'd know that typeC is the better audio solution for mobiles. In case of PC sound cards or Audiophile grade external DACs - these things are huge (the smallest ones are bigger than the avg phone) - there is a lot of space to work with, so its very easy to fit in components dedicated to keeping the distortion low. However in phones that's not really possible. Some phones these days have very quality DACs but at the end of the day it still sounds muddy compared to a soundcard or external DAC due to distortion. That's where typeC comes in. Distorted digital signals are more easily reconstructed and can be done very efficiently by the help of a tiny DAC built into the audio product. Therefore no muddy audio. And the sound quality will depend on your headset or speaker - so even if you have a cheap ass phone, you will get great audio as long as your headset/speaker has a good DAC. Ofcourse, this isn't a mainstream tech. Its a bit expensive. But if it doesn't start somehow it'll never become mainstream and hence remain expensive.
Therefore at the end of the day the Pros of having only typeC are:
1. Takes up less space
2. Easier to waterproof
3. Better quality audio
4. And all the other typeC specific features.
Cons:
1. You can't charge and listen to music at the same time (can be solved with wireless charging)
2. you might need to carry a typeC to 3.5mm adapter.

Humans did just fine, even after removal of so many legacy ports from mobiles.. it only create headaches of so many diff connectors, converters, and wires.
Instead of complaining no 3.5, you should PUSH for dual usb-c ports.
But then again lets look at dual usb-c port's pro / cons.
Pros:
Allow you to listen to music while charging.
Cons:
Double interference, (USB 3 interferes with wifi)
Waste space (One more controller and port.. makes phone bulky)
So i do believe Huawei will introduce wireless charging. So that port is only for music, occasional data transfer.. thats it.

Note7 owner, 05 May 2017Who uses wired headphones in 2017? Get with the program people. I use wired headphones, i don't like to recharge many devices... the phone is just more than enough, plus i just hate when your BT headphones are dead since you forgot to recharge it last night.
And those wired headphones are way more cheaper so you can spend more on quality instead of the sake of the "wireless" feature.

Note7 owner, 05 May 2017Who uses wired headphones in 2017? Get with the program people. I use it , got a problem with that ? Maybe you like to charge two separate devices all the time but I certainly don't , and I have no intention of replacing charging port every 2 months due to wear and tear from constant use ... that's what most OEMs actually want from you , more money for expensive service repairs , to sell you shitty adapters and make your smartphone battery degrade even more quickly . while they got more profit from phone alone , did you not notice despite removing piece of hardware price remained the same !
as for the wireless headphones why would I downgrade to something that sounds like crap compared superb quality that wired headphones offers ?
