I am just worried about oneplus 3T as like oneplus 2, they will stop supporting op3t, I won't be surprised if it doesn't get oreo :/, pls oneplus improve that, or may have to rely on custom roms not much good are out for op3t right now

That 8GB RAM better be managed well
Given the 3T still reloads sometimes, I have bigger hopes for another flawless multitasking here
This phone has 2GB more than twice the RAM of my 2007 Windows 7™ Ultimate PC, yet I can open any number of stuff and none will reload at all

2u2, 05 May 2017If so then why companies add more ram to their flagships ar... moreBecause Android, and even iOS becomes more RAM demanding each year
Remember back when Xperia flagships with only 3GB RAM have flawless multitasking? Now those running on Marshmallow won't even keep 1 of 15-20 apps (given they're random with intensive apps, games, basic stuff, etc.)
Great RAM Management doesn't just rely on RAM capacity, but more importantly how the software take advantage of it and play with that capacity.
For instance, 6GB of RAM is more than enough to handle Nougat with so many apps without reloading any single of it, yet XZs carrying only 4GB of RAM handles multitasking even better
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAhTrpA3idw&t=355s
Even Google themselves can't manage a perfect multitasking as the one themselves who created the OS - easily losing to the XZs

XZs has 4GB of RAM, XZ has 3GB of RAM

lacp, 05 May 2017That is a complete lie because OP3 and OP3T with the later ... moreSony's phone is better in real life than it looks in Gsmarena or YouTube, in general. I'm the one of those owners of OnePlus 3T, but my Z3 still kicking and I love it. If I were rich I 'd get XZs' slo-mo camera coz I like snowboarding....

Frequent software update, clean UI, brisk response, headphone jack unlockable bootloader, yadda yadda...
I prefer Sony, but OnePlus has gotten everything right since OnePlus 3.
I hope they broaden the availability so that penetrate isheep-infested countries.

Tann Hauser, 05 May 2017Just nope. XZs with 4gb ram outclasses OP3T with 6 gb ram... moreThat is a complete lie because OP3 and OP3T with the later actualizations have better multitasking than Xperia XZ. Please conform yourself because OPT3T and the future OP5 are or will be better products than your beloved Sony Xperia XZ. And for better prices. Sony is finished, is over.

Pointless. Whats the point of having more battery draining ram when software optimization is the key to a superior lag free experience? Just look at Apple....I own a 6s with a measly 2 Gb ram and have yet to see the slightest lag/stutter. Software!!!

green, 05 May 2017this is not flagship grade. a Flagship without any inno... moreNew innovation doesn't make a flagship. What makes a flagship is a stellar performance, a good camera, a premium build and all those things. Basically being the best at what every phone can do. That's what Oneplus trying to aim from the very start : delivering a flagship grade phone with almost half the price of other flagship.

a Flagship without any inno... moreS8 has no new features. Everything it has, has been done in the past (even the bezeless look). In fact it could very well be a 2016 phone .
At least this one has more ram (SD835 is exynos 8890 level of performance so it's nothing exciting).

Anonymous, 05 May 2017Last year with 6Gb of RAM lose perfectly to motorola z forc... moreYou rpobanly live in another world. In this world OP3 won handily those phones (and basically any 2016 phone). Not having to reload your apps is huge in every day performance, much more I portant than loading times (you only load once in those phones).
