Then indeed Apple would be like BMW. Then again BMW is often the opposite, one of the most innovative car companies.
Apple being Americans Actually looks more like General Motors or Ford at best.
Sony is Toyota
Sharp is Honda
Samsung is Kia
The Chinese have no equivalency. They'd be new players but very dynamic. Maybe Tesla (new designs like for example the Mi Mix) ... but not a very good comparison either.

You are not that in a rush that you need those extra milliseconds just to get through. What we need as customers, is a jam-packed experience. Meaning, it is a collective term for overall user satisfaction, be it in speed, exterior design, camera etc. Samsung, of all other phones i used, delivers this kind of experience. Though the battery and speed may throttle in a few months, its not that bad to think of upgrading to other phone.

It cheats. It uses the same SD835 that every 2017 flagship is using. OnePlus merely let's its SoC to not throttle while running geekbench. Which is cheating and inconsequential one as it still runs SD835 ... which is nothing earth shattering (just 10% faster than last year's Exynos)

I'd take this score with a grain of salt. OnePlus was recently caught red handed inflating scores on the 3T in Antutu

Still, i wont trade that AMAZING SCREEN AND EXPERIENCE that you get on an s8/s8+ with that SMALL DIFFERENCE IN BENCHMARKS. Anyway, the price of that oneplus may attract you, but i'd rather go still with samsung :)

I think it's weird though, first run i did was 2000+ on single and 6700+ multi on my 8895 S8 (2021/6790 last run). Why are the official scores lower?

This is on geekbench 4.1 and the XZ Premium was on geekbench 4.0 so its not a good comparison
