anyway no doubt that ths sgs II is a good phone, but it probably will cost a bomb when it arrives to my country. and no, i dont want to be tied to carriers

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh man I am SO buying this phone. X6 has its flaws, but what its meant to do it does REALLY REALLY well, i.e music and imaging.
I expect no less from the X7, although the EDOF is a bit of a putoff but meh, lets see. UI Upgrade FTW!

this not the symbian update i'm waiting for. The update i'm waiting for is the one that includes flexible widgets and a completely new UI.

nokia is really doin a great job for s3.
And to nokia haters-u guys do n0tin but to whine and hate n0kia ph0nes. At the first place n0kia doesnt force anyone to buy their products -its all up to our choice. S3 doesnt nid dual core cpus coz symbian runs even on low powered cpus so d0nt c0mpare it to android. For some who complains about d browser, then use opera instead but d new nokia browser update was said to be 3x better.
These c0mpanies/manufacturers are geniuses of our generation. Through them we experience technologies like this and they share it to the world. Lets give it for them. .coz i believe u bashers cant even invent any single phone or create a mobile software that will change the world. -symbian is simple and up to our needs. If it doesnt fits ur needs then shut up and buy a diff. Phone. Nokia started all this mobile innovations but nokia is not perfect. It is said that every successful person came tru tests and failure, nokia will soon rise and will continue to connect people.

Waiting... that's what Nokia and Nokia fans are really good at. Nokia should wait till there are nuclear cell batteries then release a phone with a better processor.

Replace the stereo, FM transmitter is as good as useless, has a very bad quality, weak sound, much worse than radio, especially in new cars with good insulation, it's terrible.

I'm not contradicting myself at all, for me and many other people those features are useless, even if I had Galaxy S II I would not use them, for you however, if you buy Galaxy S II, you'll have an amazing phone, PLUS, since you are one of those very rare people that use USB on the Go, you can do that too, Nokia has no advantages. iPhone 4's quality is good enough.

Nokia really need to have better processor and ram on their latest devices. I guess they're waiting for major pr3.0 UI firmware update on symbian ^3.....

there are some very funny people out there... before this leak people complained that UI is too outdated etc. Now that Nokia is actually doing something with it they start moaning about slow hardware. Are u people really have nothing else to do? Firstly as much as you'd like, nokia will not copy android or iOS, well at least to the extent u'd like. secondly, and that is very important, your 1.2ghz cpu will drain baterry in a speed of light. I personally can't stand charging phone everyday and the fact that phone's holding couple of days is one of the main factors to my choice. Now the gamers... is there nothing better to do with the phone apart from it? u ment to use phone to communicate, not drain your childish brain on the go!
p.s. thanks for the answer regarding UI updates. all's left is to wait for E7 hit the shelves in UK and go on a test drive ;)

in terms of functionality, build quality and bang for the buck ratio, nokia still leads the competition. i don't care about the os as long as nokia provides good smartphone functionality and good built quality, i will keep buying nokia!!

I own mobile shop , and i can say nokia is way better then apple samsung htc lg moto etc:-):-):-):-) and about os symbian is better then andriod and ios . But nokia need work hard for symbian :-):-):-).

Nokia has been making the worst phones avalible for years. They can still get away from this though, as they are very popular in south east asian countries, where people only use their phones to call and text. People who use their phones for more than calling or texting know to stay away from nokia. Motorola have been making the best smartphones for years.
